Chapter 8 - Chapter 6: "Okay"

It's morning again.

The yellow light of sunshine went to Allie's porcelain face. She was feeling a bit disgusted and also angry to his father.

Allie's up and out of her room and went down to have breakfast. For today's menu, it's an egg with fried rice and garnishes on top with mango juice for drinks.

While sitting on the farthest chair, Mr. Dixon greeted Allie.

"Good morning."

Allie rolled her eyes out of too much irritatation.

"What's so good in this morning anyways?"

She sat down on the farthest chair opposite and parallel to his father.

"Come on, Allie. You've got to give it a shot."

"You know I don't want to."

Mr. Dixon sighed. He doesn't wanna force her into that kind of a situation but he has to in order to save their company.

"Alright, Allie. I'm going to promise something to you. If our company got saved and we can run it ourselves without their help, I'm going to let you have a divorce. Deal?"

Allie never spoke. She just looked at Mr. Dixon and just continued eating and looked down at her phone. Mr. Dixon went near her when Bella sent her a message. She was about to read it when Mr. Dixon spoke again.

"It's Bella again, isn't it?"

He smiled at Allie while she just literally dissed at him.

"Would you mind?! Gosh! Don't you have some sense of privacy?! How old are you?! 5?!"

Mr. Dixon got really offended but just continued to be nice with her. Allie stood up and walked away, leaving her nicely cooked meal.

She went to the backyard. She likes chillin' and working there for some reason. She likes to work and do something that she loves in ghost-quiet places.

She replied to Bella:

Allie: Yeah, I'm here now... Are you okay there?

Bella: Yes, I am. Of course... I was more worried about you.

Allie: No, don't be.

Bella: I know Mr. Dixon... He's probably not going to stop so that you could finally agree with him.

Allie: I know... That's why I already want to agree with him.

Bella: No, don't!

Allie: I have to do this, Bella. I can't just let our company die.

Bella: There must be another way.

Allie: But there aren't any... for now. He won't allow me to see you unless I agree.

Bella: Then don't.

Allie: What about me?

Bella didn't reply for a minute and Allie was already shedding her tears.

She really wants to see Bella and she knows that that's the only way to see her again. She has to agree...

"You know what, Allie? It would be better if you can see Bella again in person. And by that, you know what it means, right?"

Allie nodded.

Mr. Dixon was standing at the doorway. He was smiling at Allie.

"Stop crying, Allie... I promise you that I'll let you have that divorce and if they ever hurted you or at least tried. I won't hesitate to get you away from them and we'll never have transactions with them ever."

Bella replied again:

Bella: Okay... I'll let you have that but please take care of yourself. I'll be here to support you as always. I won't leave you as well as them hurting you. That's never gonna happen.

Allie replied with a smile.

Allie: Thank you, Bella. I'll see you again.

Allie once again faced his father.

"I know I'm the worst father you've ever had but I want you to know that you still matter to me."

"Okay, Dad. I'm finally going to give this a shot and I hope that you'll also keep your promise."

"I would."
