Chapter 5 - Chapter Five

I ran from the elevator and hurried to the room Vanessa had led me to the night before. I stared at the unresponsive wood with the golden number 342; my breath was heaving in and out of my lungs.

"Shit." I ran my hand down my face. I called her a slut the night before, no way was she letting me in.

With my heart in my throat, I knocked heavily. The door immediately swung open. I didn't hesitate to walk inside.

"Nice shoes," Emily sneered, spotting the over-sized sliders on my feet. She was sitting on a small sofa with Vanessa; I sat on the bed.

"I didn't have much of a selection this morning."

"Did you even try to brush your hair?" She laughed cruelly.

I didn't remember this side of her from the night before. I couldn't afford to piss them off anymore though; next they'd be turning me into a toad.

My eyes honed in on Vanessa. "Change me back," I ordered calmly.

"No," she replied just as calm.

"What do you want? Do you want money? I have money." My family had a lot of money; these two must have known that. "How much do you want?"

"Extortion is against the rules of my coven. They have a lot more rules these days."

I really wanted to slap that stupid smile off her face.

"Then what do you want from me?" There had to be a way to get her to turn me back into a man. Did she want an apology? Did she want me to marry her cousin?

God, I really hoped that wasn't it. I would be willing though. We could always get a divorce later.

"There is a way to change back," she purred. Her fingers tapped out a hypnotic rhythm on her thigh.

"Ok…?" I raised both eyebrows in her direction. "Are you going to tell me what it is?"

"I told you that I wanted to teach you a lesson." Her head tilted to one side, just like a curious little puppy. Last night, she had been hot for a few minutes. Now – not so much.

"Well, I think you made your point." I waved my hand wildly over my crotch.

"Not quite." Her and Emily shared a smile. "You need to do good deeds; enough to change back."

"Good deeds?" I almost gagged on the word. It wasn't that I was against doing nice things for others, but I hated people who went around and claimed to do good deeds. They were fake and I wasn't one of them. I looked out for myself; and I was willing to admit that.

"Yes," her eyes shone with a mischievous delight.

"How much is enough?" I asked. My face was still twisted in contempt.

"Back in your apartment, you'll find an hourglass."

"An…hourglass?" What the fuck? We had a witch, good deed doers, and now an hourglass. Had I somehow been transported to the land of Oz?

"Filled with pebbles," she continued happily. "Each time you do something selfless…"

"That means doing something for someone else with no expectations," Emily told me with a smirk plastered on her face.

How had I not realized what a bitch she was? Of course, once I was dick deep inside her – I wouldn't have cared too much about her personality traits.

"Yes," Vanessa patted her hand, "every time you do something good, a pebble will fall into the other side of the hourglass. Once you empty it…" she clapped her hands together loudly.

"I'll change back?"

She nodded.

"How many pebbles are there?"

"No idea," she shrugged.

"It's going to take the rest of my life," I groaned.

"Since I'm such a romantic," she simpered wildly, "I've put a sub-clause into your spell."

"Which means?"

"There's something else that will break the spell."

"Are you going to tell me what it is?"

"True love's kiss," she announced proudly. "Granted, you'll have a better chance of emptying that hourglass than finding someone who truly loves you, but…"

"This is horse shit," I fired angrily. "This has to be against the law."

She shrugged dramatically. "There's one more thing you should know too."

Great.

"You can't tell anyone that you were changed into a woman."

"I don't have to listen to you," I grunted. I wanted to throw my arms across my chest but my tits were in the way. It was too weird to feel them there on my chest. "I have to tell Pete what is going on, he's my business partner."

"No, I mean you can't." She emphasized the last word. "As in, you physically won't be able to say the words."

This morning when I was on the phone with Pete, I tried telling him I was a woman but it changed to asshole. This explained it. Huffing loudly, I got off the bed and stormed out of the room.
