Idris opened his mouth to speak, but the warthog lifted his hand in a stopping motion "Listen, we gotta move now boyo, because otherwise you and your friends there" his small black eyes narrowing in on the stupefied scientists "won't ever see planet Terra again, I'll explain on the way, but for now, trust me when I tell you that myself and my Devishian comrade here won't understand a word that you're saying". The warthog stared at him intently, his nose slightly grunting, the yellowed tusks stalwartly protruding.
Idris nodded, with no idea of whether the warthog-man would understand the motion, but thewarthog's reply quickly answered the nonverbal question "head-nodding and shaking, almost entirely universal, well come along now boyo" he spoke eagerly, as he turned around with the Devishian woman, Idris following behind them. The moment they had exited he turned off the door-device "trust me, we don't need those guys running around, they'll either get dead, or get us dead".
With a quick pace, for the warthog-man's surprisingly small legs, he began walking and talking, the Devishian limping along with a haggard pace, her breathing shallow, she had yet to speak a word.
As they passed by the metal wall, Idris now saw that on the other side lay four small prison cells, with room for no more than two per cell, at the end of the hallway a hexagon style doorway was visible, the hatch in the middle currently locked.
"I'll keep it simple boyo, the woman who captured you is named Mana'a, and is of the Ki'rilian race, of the people left on the vessel there is her, her two brothers and one remaining Klaxion guard, the other I just.." His sentence was interrupted by a low hissing as the hatch on the hexagonal doorway quickly unlocked and opened. The Devishian had instantly dropped to her right knee, leaning her left elbow on her left knee, the two-handed gun in a firing position. Even before the hatch had opened fully, she had begun firing relentlessly. The weapon released small beams of yellow light, which upon connecting with parts of the doorway instantly turned darkened and burnt the areas. However nobody was on the other side, except the corpse of the murdered guard.
The warthog looked curiously at the scene, "It would appear that Mana'a knows about our plans now" he grunted a sigh as he began walking again.
Idris was just about to assist the Devishian who was struggling to stand up, when his sensitive ears picked up on a slight breath. He turned his head in the direction of the doorway, and in a flurry, his right leg exploded with power as he moved in one foul step several meters, right in-front of warthog-man. His left arm moving like a snake towards the doorway, that was still ten or so meters away. It was in that exact moment that the other guard popped out from behind the side of the door, his weapon drawn, however before he could fire, he was struck in-between his eyes with tremendous force. The Klaxion's head was knocked back by the small oblong metal object that was connected to Idris' left wrist by a thin metal wire. Idris frowned, had the man been human the meteor hammer would've penetrated his skull!
He quickly moved his wrist upwards, sending a movement through the chain, whereas he changed position again, making the small meteor hammer change position rapidly, now slapping the weapon of the guard, making the man misfire. Idris readied himself as he was about to move closer, however a slight glint of yellow passed him by in an instant, penetrating the throat of the guard, the result being a charred hole that was dripping pieces of blue blood, whilst the guard fell to his knees gurgling blood.
Glancing backwards, Idris could see the Devishian had moved closer, and put the weapon on the warthog's shoulder, much to his displeasure, as was present from his demeanor.
. . . .
Azreth had initially doubted the Brulok's purpose in bringing along a Terran whom they wouldn't be able to communicate properly, but now… She slowly stood up, trying to express apology with her mangled face, but to little avail. 'First mothef***** to die' she thought to herself as she could still feel the open wounds from the torture jabbing at her from every angle possible.
The Grafiigraan gave her a stare as he began moving again, all the while explaining to the Terran "as I was saying, the leader of this pirate vessel is named Mana'a, and she is a female Ki'rilian!" he spoke with a shudder, Azreth nodded inwardly at Brulok's shudder, as she continued walking behind the two "the women of the species are not born often, but the ones that are have tremendous strength and sturdiness, but the most fearful part about them is their strong regenerative powers! With the right weapons capturing her wouldn't be too difficult, but we don't have the right tools, and Mana'a is also a skilled pirate and fighter" Brulok's voice increased in intensity "I saw the strength that you have, I'll be honest boyo, I'm not sure if it is enough, but all I need from you is a moment, hold her still for a moment, and myself and our lady friend here will find a way to stuff a bomb into her mouth, because, you see, their brain is their weakness" he chuckled stupidly. Azreth couldn't help but think 'it's everyone's weakness you, dumbass'. However could the Terran really hold down the female Ki'rilian? A memory of a fist and sharp teeth flashed in front of her eyes, maybe a Terran couldn't?...
. . . .
Caspar was pacing back and forth crazily, muttering obscenities and complaints "He left us!" he gestured at the spot where the entrance had been "without so much as a word! And why him? He can't do anything!!" he yelled angrily.
Youjung looked at her fiancé's mad pacing; she had always been enraptured by the man, his smarts, his looks and his undoubting confidence in his abilities. However she was reminded of what her grandmother had told her after she has met Caspar for the first time "A man who has never failed, will fall that much harder when he eventually does" at the time she hadn't given it much thought, but now she saw that Caspar's strengths were causing his downfall, she herself was not too inferior in intellect when compared to Caspar and she could clearly see that Idris' didn't have time to give explanations.
She stumbled backwards, one shaking step at a time, and finally right into a bunkbed, her expression weary, as she felt hot tears running down her face.
. . . .
"Come in?!" Mana'a repeated the question again, but she still didn't get a response "DAMN THAT IMPATIENT KLAXION FOOL!" She slammed the armrest hard as she stood up angrily, towering a head taller than her two brothers who were facing her, each with a relaxed and calm smile.
"Sister, let the two of us go face the mutineer Brulok!" one spoke energetically whilst he waved a three barreled black coloured weapon around.
"We'll have taken care of business in no time, you'll see" the other said holding a large square box in his arms.
At the two suggestions, her mind began racing, if she send them alone they might be killed, or worse convinced to attack her, in which case she would have to kill them too, leaving her with no crew to maintain the vessel. Worst case scenario she would end up stranded in space. She walked to the left side of the bridge where there were several large lockers, she quietly opened one, and pulled out several weapons "I'll come with you, we'll face them together, they will have to pass through section B, we'll try and ambush them there" she spoke confidently, her deep shrilly voice seething with anger.
. . . .
"…So after millennia of the Ki'rilian men being suppressed, they slowly began breaking apart the matriarchy" Brulok was getting somewhat excited as he was explaining, and although the Terran couldn't yet comment, it was clear from his eyes that he was listening to him, so he continued with an excited snort "Unfortunately this led to internal civil wars and long-term dissent on the planet Ki'rilia, in fact it is well-known that a Ki'rilian will sell out their family and friends if it is in their best interest, but they will never do so to their face, it will always be in a circumvent way" he shook his head lightly "something about honor, but if you ask me" his stubby thumb pointing at himself "they are all…"
Azreth instantly felt that something was wrong the moment that they had entered a large cross-section, but her mouth was too swollen to make a comment, so her reaction had been to open up suppressive fire, but just as her finger was on the trigger, the Terran had lifted his hand, and grabbed Brulok by his shoulder. This was the second time that the man's senses had been as sharp as her own, her gaze quickly shifted to the middle of the crossway, aside from the three interlinked tunnels and several crates standing around, nothing appeared out of the ordinary. However the three of them had quickly hid behind an open crate full of Kloxian deep-sea wine.
What she wanted to do was to rush at the enemy in a blazing glory, but she was in no position to do that, instead she shifted her gaze to the engineer, he obviously had a lot of gadgets; the question was if he had something they could use now?
. . . .
Idris had smelt the presence of three other beings, but he hadn't seen or heard anyone, which was very curious, however from the reaction of the woman, now next to him, he wasn't the only one to have felt it. The question was, should he rush out there, or should they find a different path, he couldn't help but to look at the warthog-man.
Brulok looked up at both of them, each one staring at him more intensely than the other. "No pressure, huh?" he grumbled as he pulled out two fist sized balls, with wires and circuitry visible from the outside, he then threw them into the middle of the crossway, and pulled out his small pen full of buttons, and pressed one.
The two balls instantly reacted to each other, drawing in electricity from the surroundings, the lights went out and an emergency broadcast began sounding out.
[SECTION B: SUFFERING FROM POWERFAILURE: CRITICAL]
The entire section fell into darkness; the only light was the one being released by the two balls that were madly draining energy, sparks of electricity whipping about them aggressively. Finally from the left tunnel a flicker happened, and a box became visible together with the three Ki'rilians armed to the teeth. Unfortunately the moment the shield had fallen they had dived away, but just barely in time.
The two balls couldn't handle the energy any longer, and exploded in a cacophony of electricity. A thick snake of lightning instantly charred the leg off of one the Ki'rilians, he had simply been too slow. A deafening scream rang out as the emergency lights finally activated! A soft red dark light began flashing in rhythm to a loud beeping emergency sound.
Idris, Brulok and Areth had glimpsed the three siblings the moment their shield had gone down, but they had no doubt been spotted themselves, the real question was who would make the first move.
"MOVE BOYO!" Brulok yelled hoarsely, as he pulled out two small grenades, throwing them at the Ki'rilians, one exploded with a sticky yellow mass, the other with a blue cold fire that instantly turned into an icy inferno the moment it touched the sticky mass. "Mana'a won't wait long before she comes charging, we need to get the drop on her!" at the end of his sentence he rolled over to a different box, his hands already rummaging in his pockets on the way.
Whatever Brulok was about to do, Idris wouldn't know, as he moved in powerful bursts towards the dying inferno, that somehow didn't release any smoke and was frosty to the bone. He repositioned his body sideways, and slid past the hallway from which the Ki'rilians were located, and he instantly saw them, the thin male facing him with a large weapon with three barrels, and the intimidating captain standing behind him with a grim face. The male Ki'rilian's large black eyes stared angrily at Idris as he activated the weapon. Idris similarly threw out the meteor hammers like lightning, they reached within a meter of the green Ki'rilian as they slowed to a stop, and even Idris' slide came to a halt as he found himself the target of a strong repulsive force, for a moment he was still, and then he was thrown into the hallway behind him, hitting the ceiling in the process with a shattering crunch.
. . . .
Azreth saw it happening as she moved slowly and painfully closer, and for just a brief moment after Idris had been slammed away, there was a lull, the screaming Ki'rilian and beeping alarm accompanying the blinking red light, like a rave party in the Drimeda Sector. Whether the Terran had died or not, she didn't know, but nonetheless she used a monumental amount of willpower as she burst forward jumping out from behind a crate; the plasma gun shooting rapidly.
The Ki'rilian was caught by total surprise as he had been advancing to what appeared to be a dead Terran, the plasma had penetrated his head and weapon almost instantaneously. His last wish was to avenge his brother, and maybe prove himself somewhat useful to his sister. With a loud thump he fell to the ground with his weapon still clasped in his arms.
'Second piece of sh*t to die' Azreth thought angrily, and with a medley she began firing at the head of the pirate captain, but to no avail 'the bitch is wearing protective welding goggles!' the realization made her begin firing at the approaching goliath's large body instead, but she absorbed the damage like it was nothing, her skin burning and healing at a visible rate.
. . . .
"BRUUULLOOOOK!!!" Mana'a bellowed out as she grabbed the crate that Azreth was half lying behind, and slammed it against the hallway wall with a screeching metal against metal sound. Her large black eyes stared emotionlessly at the Devishian, how she wanted to stomp the life out of her, but she needed her still! She moved her head towards the spot where a small Grafiigraan was hiding. A small blue box made of hard light was protecting him, he stared at her from within it. She couldn't help but still snicker "You call this!" her arms gesturing at the failed attack "A mutiny?" she lifted up a large hand-canon "time to die you pigman idi…."
Out of a nowhere the Terran had appeared, his hands grabbed her by the head, sharp claws dug into her skin, as his right knee slammed into her skull powerfully, knocking her back two steps, a slight ringing erupting in her ears. Before she could react to the sudden attack, she felt the large weapon in her hand being wrested away; she barely saw two glimpses of shimmer as the weapon was smacked far away.
Her brow creased heavily as her anger intensified, she was now looking straight at the Terran? If he could be called that, his ears had sharpened, his nose had widened, thick large teeth and fangs were bared in aggression, and fur covered his ears, and could be seen growing on his arms and animal-like hands and fingers. She cracked her neck as she walked forward, her hand reaching into her pocket, all the while the Terran attacked her with some small metal objects; she scoffed as they could barely graze her.
. . . .
After slamming into the ceiling and breaking his shoulder, he needed some time to recover, he knew this wasn't going to be easy, he would have to access the first stage of his transformation. He felt his muscles grow, and fur grow out, thick claws grew from his fingers as his inner wolf began revealing itself. His emotions intensified in the process, but he was still in control.
First he had planned to crush the skull of the Ki'rilian, but it seemed that the knee attack had barely given her a concussion, so at least he could remove her weapon while she was disoriented. He felt her cold stare as he was facing her, he was faster than her, maybe if he could claw her neck, and then knee and elbow her skull for long enough she would break apart.
With blinding speed he disappeared from where he was, and reappeared 15 meters ahead, right in front of Mana'a, his claw ready to cleave. However he was struck by a sudden disorienting nauseating sound, which drilled into his skull, he barely had time to lose his footing before he was grabbed by the woman who was easily 230cm tall, her arms crushing him as she lifted him up, he stared fearlessly into her dead black eyes.
Mana'a was about to head-butt Idris, when she burst out screaming! Idris looked down to his right and saw the Devishian sticking a fiery arm right into the Ki'rilian. Her response was reactionary as she slammed Idris away, he went tumbling back smashing into walls and crates, his bones breaking, organs shifting, and blood spurting.
. . . .
Brulok saw the animal-like nature that the Terran had taken, he didn't know much about Terrans, but he felt like he would remember if they had shapeshifters? The man moved at incredulous speeds as he was about to slash the Ki'rilian, but Brulok saw it, in her hand, a small device, which she activated the moment he appeared in front of her. Brulok knew what the device was; he had used the same on the Klaxion guard, whose hearing was highly advanced, and now this disruptor was working against him. He felt sweat running down his hands as he looked at the Devishian, half her fiery arm buried in the Ki'rilian.
Light green blood was seething from Mana'a's mouth as she punched the Devishian heavily in the stomach, sending her flying past Brulok, black steaming blood trailing behind her.
He grimaced heavily, things had gone awry very quickly, the female Ki'rilian had been stronger than regular females of her species, and this had cost him dearly, but he was no coward! He deactivated the protective field, and ran towards Mana'a, pulling a large grenade from one of his many pockets, he wasn't sure if it would kill, her, but he sure as hell wouldn't give her the pleasure of killing him.
An animalist howl echoed out, as he had been about to throw the grenade at the hateful woman. He barely skid to a stop when he saw the snarling 3 meter tall towering brown furry beast, Its blue eyes glowing in the dim red light. Every instinct in his body screamed for him to get away, as he barely spun around and ran back where he came from. Behind him he heard the Ki'rilian screaming in fear, pain and confusion. When he reached the Devishian, he grabbed her by the collar, and continued running, the sounds of metal scraping and breaking, and flesh tearing echoed in the empty hallways.
He pulled the half-awake Devishian past an open doorway, of which there were many, built in for various safety reasons. He quickly activated the panel, and shut off the hallway and at the same time he remotely closed off the other hallways; the last thing he saw was the beast overpowering the Ki'rilian in a bloody frenzy. The thick doors shut instantly.
He slid down on his knees, still facing the thick steely doorway.
"It's a mutiny alright, you b*tch"
