While Elestia taking her times inside the bathroom, her mind wanders to someone. 'He is so handsome and gentle. I mean Kiel is handsome too but I never felt this when I am with Kiel. His red hair with a unique brown eyes....' Elestia get embarrassed by her wild mind.
"Babe? are you okay?" Kiel asked Elestia behind the door. Kiel was worried about her because he thought that she really caught a cold.
"If you're done, get out of the bath soon. You don't want to get sick tomorrow, right?" Kiel's voice wakes Elestia from her endless wild thoughts but then after seeing her body in front of the big mirror inside the bathroom, Elestia smile sadly and shook her head in disappointment.
'I shouldn't dream too much....It's good enough that Kiel accepted me the way I am right now. I am a scarred woman' Elestia put on her towel and get out of the bathroom.
"As I thought...you really caught a cold" Elestia smile and walk slowly to get her pyjamas.
"Let's cuddle Kiel. Hug me tightly" At this moment Kiel was stunned. Elestia back looked so lonely.
'Why did I ever dare doubt her? She looked so small right now...She look so weak right now...Why...' Kiel hugged Elestia tightly without saying anything. That night Elestia could not sleep and keep waking up from nightmare.
"Elestia?" Kiel woke up in the middle of night after feeling cold for sometimes and realized that Elestia is nowhere to be seen.
Kiel was sleepy but he get up from the bed to find Elestia just to see her sitting in front of the window while staring outside. She was shaking and crying without a sound.
"I-I am s-sorry....." That was the words that keep coming out from her.
"Shhhh.....it's okay. It's okay" Kiel become more guilty than ever. He failed as her partner. He was the one who become obsessed with her and yet he was the first to doubt her back.
"I am sorry" Kiel was angry at himself. At this moment Elestia mind is not even there. Her eyes look dead without any emotions. She is trapped inside her own nightmare. Kiel hugged Elestia for a long time as Elestia finally stopped crying and fall asleep just like that.
The nightmare that hunted her these day is her memories of the past where her comrades died by her own stupidity. They was there for her, they never once doubt her and loyal to her. Even when everyone hated her, they were there but she betrayed them and sent them to their death bed. No matter how much she regretted it, the moment when they died, the smile on their face that never fades away, and the way they called her master even when they on the verge of dying keep playing again and again in her mind.
When the morning comes Elestia acted like nothing happened that night. She had a blurry mind but her eyes betrayed her smile.
"You don't have to force yourself. You can rest today" Elestia shook her head and smile at Kiel.
"You look pale" Kiel said to her trying to make her to get a rest for that day but Elestia insisted that she can manage and leave him. On that day both of them was so busy doing their own task. Kiel finally finished his business and was on his way to get Elestia but was informed that The current king of Fiena has invited him for a dinner. It's a duty of a prince from another Empire to heed the King's invitation.
"Okay" On the way going to the royal palace, Kiel bumped into Lucia and decided to go together to the royal palace.
"Lady Elestia....Isn't that Prince Kiel and Lucia?" Rania pointed at the two people. Elestia was looking at them and couldn't help but feel angry and sad at the same time.
"I could never makes him feel like that...." Rania heard those words and feel regret for telling her.
"Lady...." Elestia walked away without batting an eye to the two laughing people.
'They looked happy together...I messed up and now it's returning to the real plot. Kiel should fall for her. I should never be here...I wished I could disappear....' Rania didn't say anything anymore and just following her.
Since the day where Elestia saw Kiel laughing gently with Lucia, She rarely come home and it has been going for a months. Both of them was busy but Kiel was trying so hard to make time for her but whenever he comes home, she wasn't there or sometimes she already sleep but at the other room.
"I don't want to return to an empty home...." Kiel said to himself while finishing his report for the day.
"Ah! Prince Kiel....would you like to join us for a dinner?" It's Lucia. This whole month, Lucia and the others was always there for him but Elestia wasn't there. The spark between them when they first met is getting smaller and smaller.
On their way to get their dinner, Elestia just arrived from another town. There were a job on scouting a goblin's lair but unfortunately was ambushed by a bandit and attacked by a evolved ogre. She was so damn tired because she was alone this time and she suffered a little injury. Even though she is a saintess too but she cannot cast a healing spell on her own body and had to depends on a potion. If Rania was there, she could help her but unfortunately Rania was called to the Holy Tower for healing job and that's why she was alone and now she bumped into the group which Kiel also there.
"Elestia?" Lucia called out to her as She didn't say anything in return.
"....." Kiel finally saw her face after a month. This whole one month, Elestia refused to see him even for a minute. Kiel was shocked that she becomes more worse. Her eyebag look so clear and her face is paler than ever.
"Are you alright?" Lucia asked again but Elestia just walked away without answering her. She already at her limit. She never had a good sleep since that time. She can only sleep for an hour before the nightmare attacked her again.
"Sister? Saintess Lucia is asking you" Carmila could not let the chance to humiliate her become useless just like that.
"Fuck off" Elestia said out of nowhere because her head is hurting so much and so her leg injury. She's barely holding herself there.
"Impudent!" Prince Felix stepped in after hearing Elestia use a vulgar language but before it becomes a huge mess Diego and Clara arrived on time. After Elestia arrived at Great Wizard town, she know she barely feel alive and so she used the emergency notifications for help if a wizard is in danger. It was another function of the tag name made for each Wizards.
"Lady Elestia! Thanks god we've found you! We told you to stay where you at and now you're here!" Clara was angry and worried at the same time.
"Shut it. I'm off" After saying so to Clara, Elestia fall on Diego's arm and only then they realized how much battered she was at the moment
"Lady Elestia?!" Blood gushed out from her legs. Clara nearly tears up Elestia uniform but stopped after seeing something. Clara used her own cloak to cover her and told Diego to go first.
"Please refrain yourself from using your own title to drive or force someone to talk to you Lady Carmila. I wonder if you have the qualifications to be a saintess when you can't even detect a person in a worst condition. Prince Kiel I am so disappointed in you. Then excuse me" Kiel was the one who shocked to the point that he could not say anything in return.
" I am sorry...I think I need tol go to Elestia now" Kiel said and disappeared while Carmila was gritting her teeth in anger. Not only she failed to humiliate Elestia but she made a joke to herself. At the same time, Someone's gaze become cold and her mind is actively thinking of paying the humiliation back to a certain person.
