[ Chapter 48 ]
Cassandra sat across the semi-circle table from her gorgeous date. The atmosphere was pleasant and intimate, with the dim candlelights and soothing instrument in the background.
A pleased smile could be seen in her ethereal countenance. As Cassandra's lips upturned, she kept knifing her food with the elegance that could be found only in a noble birth lady.
Cassandra recalled that it's been almost three months since that stormy night they shared, during which time she spent her time being intensely pursued by a much younger man.
Many things have happened since then. Who would have thought that casual hookup she had with that sexy stranger would lead her to their current stage? The stage where she dated him with a companionship in mind.
As she munched her precise knifed bluefin tuna, she still remembered the night when he had asked her to waltz at that wedding bouquet, the dance that ended with him storming her sheets.
