Synopsis
Inspired by real events "Mama, I don't want to drink water. It's already so late if I drink water then I'll have to get up again to pee." "Okay then at least keep this glass by your bedside I don't want to go all the way back to the kitchen to put the glass away," Mama said, a little too angrily. Asia was taken aback by the harsh tone. Also, weirdly. Her mother looked very strange. She looked unfamiliar in an eerie manner. Asia couldn't exactly put a finger on what was wrong but there was something, for sure. She, hesitantly, took the glass of water and gulped it down. As she was drinking something, that felt like a snake, the glass caught her tongue and started pulling her tongue down. She dropped the glass to the floor and started screaming and tugging at her tongue. A blood-curdling scream left her mouth. The pain she that was feeling was none like any other she had ever felt. Her mind started to get numb. She wailed and cried but Mama stood there, smiling a bit, not even moving an inch to help her. All of a sudden, she felt footsteps approaching maybe it was her brother that has came to help her, she looked towards the left to see that her brother and her mother were running towards her, she looked towards her right, stunned and scared to find that where her mother was previously standing, there was no one. She stopped feeling the snake tugging at her tongue. Chapter 1 - The Mysterious Beauty

"Tring Tring," the doorbell chimed.

Asia opened the door and found herself staring into a pair of deep emerald eyes, framed by thick, long lashes. The woman standing before her had a prim nose adorned with a diamond stud, and her ruby lips were drawn up in a smile. Asia was simply flabbergasted by the lady's beauty.

Just when Asia thought the woman was too stunning for her senses to bear, she heard a musical sound erupting from her mouth. "I was told you needed a maid. Here I am to serve."

Like hell! This exquisitely beautiful lady was here to work as a maid in her house. She looked as if she had just stepped off her freaking throne, for heaven's sake. "Mama, there's someone to meet you," Asia said with rather too much enthusiasm, while inviting the lady inside. Her mother, an elderly woman in her early fifties, came to see the lady. "Asia, go and help Ali with his homework. He seems to be having some trouble solving his physics numerical."

"But, mom..."

"Off you go." Asia went to Ali's room, stomping her feet, acting like a child, which she was not because it had been 23 days over two decades since the day she was born. "Ali, I wish I could just kill you."

"What did I do?"

"Forget it and listen, there's a lady outside who said she is a maid, but damn, she looks like royalty in disguise."

Asia's P.O.V.

The sunlight shone brightly into my eyes. Who pulled the curtains apart? Mom wouldn't even be up by now. My mom's a heavy sleeper. We have to wake up by ourselves and make breakfast. Damn. This is too much light. I need to get up and draw the curtains. It's Sunday; I need my beauty sleep. But the moment I stood up, I noticed someone near my cupboard. I almost screamed.

There was a human-looking figure standing in front of my wide-open cupboard. She had long, frizzy, yet greasy, knee-length black hair. Her eyes were bloodshot, approximately the size of a tennis ball, hungry and untamed. Mold-like snot dripped from her nose down to the floor in a stream. Her mouth had thin lips, small and human-like. When I reached her ginormous thumb-like feet, they rotated backward with an annoying cracking sound that raised all my goosebumps. The creature dropped to the ground like a monkey and jumped at me with a smile stretched ear to ear, showcasing hundreds of yellow, saliva-covered teeth. I was so stunned and scared that I couldn't even scream, and my heart lurched out of my throat. And that's when I opened my eyes, got up from the horrific nightmare, but then I saw that there was really somebody standing near my bed.

Still hyperventilating from the most palpable nightmare, I decided to jump out of the window since it was the closest way out. But then I noticed who it was. It was our new maid. She was organizing my clothes. And damn, she's such a pretty sight. (I'm straight as a pencil, but it doesn't hurt to appreciate beauty). She turned around and looked deep into my eyes. I was sort of hypnotized by their beauty. My my! Those emerald eyes. Those dark lashes. But I couldn't just keep staring into her eyes. Her beauty was sort of unbearable. Too unrealistic. Too majestic. It made all the ugly feelings of fear go away. My goosebumps settled, and my breathing fell back into rhythm.
