Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 - Entrance

The Grand Knight of The King, Zuckar. The title given for the most powerful and strongest individual of the nation.

This title was present since long before the previous king died. Stories of such knights was passed down from families and citizens generation to generation.

It wouldn't be surprising if even 7 year old children know the events from long ago. It can be served as a goodnight story, or entertainment. They even formed theatrical plays about the events that happened.

The mentioned knight led the forces to conquer different cities and countries expanding the might of the capital nation.

He was the sword of the nation. A queen in a chess board.

Some lived long enough to tell the story. Some wrote the truth, and some made prohibited books showered with conscience and energy of the writer.

The Grand Knight of The King, Zuckar. The title given for the most powerful and strongest individual of the nation.

At least they all thought so..

"I don't really mind if you insult my dear brother but.." the man kicked Film's head lightly and scoffed. " It's nice to be known in this vast world!" He stretched his arms, envy of his brother's accomplishments.

His smiling face soon got dreadful. "Why is my brother preeminent, and I am not..? I need to ask my liege later.." He muttered and went back on his way.

The memories of Film was rearranged by the cells with the help of VirTi in the man's mind.

'Hmm.. this way I won't have to use this lousy book. Still,.. the information on that kid's head is insufficient.'

He shrugged it off and continued to reorganize the extra memories he got and decided to keep the book.

"S-skear! Wait you're too fast!!"

"Huh? Then you hurry up, slowpoke. We might lose him!"

The pair jumped from roof to roof. The details and information they acquired were quite costy. They regretted of not being able to confront the man before.

Few hours earlier.

"Skear~ What do you think I should buy? I-I don't know what I should do if I claim the money!" Vive on the verge of tears sniffed.

Skear looked at her emotionlessly and drank the remaining tea. ' feigning ignorance, huh? ' she thought it was weird for a normal person to be so vigilant in escaping despite the trespassing of property.

"Is it really..?——!!" Suddenly, Skear shot out of her seat and, "Vive!" called out. Vive took stance and readied her knuckles.

"Huh?.."

Her senses reminded her that there was someone staring daggers at them. She quickly called out to Vive only to find out that 'someone' was no one.

"What's wrong Skear? Hahaha! You're so uptight!" Vive patted Skear's back like an old man and sat down to play with her VirTi.

"No.. I sensed it." She muttered before taking a sit back again. A disoriented mind formed by her suspicion grew. While a few minutes of not knowing, she then realized that the supposed to be 'student' reading the book was absent.

She was about to protest to Vive when,

*Churroott♪~ Dadan ♪~*

The VirTi rang and Vive clicked the popup. She also sent the popup to Skear and together, they looked at it.

Few minutes after reading it, the personal details they were looking at, was deleted. This is due to the services and added security of an informant so as not to spread the information around.

"..."

"..."

They were both silent as a shocking revelation has been discovered.

"Yathuar? Yathuar looks familiar somehow..?" Vive was the first to break the silence. She placed her index just below her lips to remember where she saw the face.

"Aaacckk! I can't remember! But he sure is familiar!" Out of frustration, she messed her hair and shook her head. She laid down the table and looked at her colleague.

"hey.. Skear..?"

Skear closed her hands tightly that fingernails were dug on the skin.

"..you.."

"Huh?"

"..finally..you.."

" Um,..partner? " Vive was starting to lose patience and planned to get her out of dilemma.

"I finally found you.." she muttered and turned to Vive. When a hand that was originally planned to pat her back was placed on top of her breast.

".. boing.." Vive said the sound she thought she heard when a two slap sound was heard loud enough for the birds to fly.

...

"I found the target. It's him. Hurry we might miss him." Skear put on her gloves and hurriedly put the tip and korks on the table they were sitting.

Vive, who was rubbing both her cheeks asked sluggishly,

"Who'sh him? I've been meaning to ashk you shinsh earliyer (Who's him? I've been meaning to ask you since earlier) "

" He is the first servant of the 1st ranked Retzi. They are worse than shadows and you cannot see them unless you are about to get killed."

" Huh? It's just a shervant though..? Moreover, are you sure it was him?"

"Stupid idiot. You're gonna die at this rate.." She sighed, "and I'm certain it's him. You can't fool these eyes and senses..." She then jumped to the roof of the cafe.

"Wait! Skear! Tell me more or I'll die!" She jumped after Skear and followed her.

In the present..

"Skear.. wait.. huff..huff.."

"Pathetic. Conserve your energy here, I'll follow his tracks."

" O-okay.. " Skear then jumped and her small figure soon dissolved.

Vive then sat down on the edge of a roof and gazed on the landscape. She shuddered when she thought about the conversation earlier. "Scary guy for a scary money, indeed.."

"Yathuar Demslikov. If he's a rautier he would undoubtedly be the first in ranking. Nevermind the first ranked now. If he would register himself as a rautier, it would be like crushing an ant with a hammer." Skear said while jumping rooftop to rooftop.

The energy allows one to hear the voice in a specific area within the 3 meter radius and she delivered what she said to Vive.

After hearing she got a strange feeling of uselessness.

Then, " He is the first servant of the 1st Retzi. He didn't register his name. I don't know the reason but I'm pretty sure it's something related to the King." She continued.

' I don't know why they appeared now.. is something about to happen?..'

Skear clicked her tongue because of the unknown. She hates not being prepared the most and now, she would constantly wonder if her readiness is enough.

Vive stayed silent surprisingly during the jump.

'The King..? Why would it relate to the king..?' A question by dubiety was always the reason of it.

Vive panted and asked,.. "Then why are we following him?"

Skear stopped and turned around. She brought her index and middle finger in front of her eyes.

"The information was worth third of the million so I'm going to bring it back" she then smiled.

' If I bring back information on Yathuar, he would be the center of the delicacy. His essence is delicious but a shame I can't beat him.. tsk.'

Skear continued on her way followed by Vive before she rested.

Vive laid back on the roof and looked at the sky. "I was here for almost 200 years and I haven't heard about this.." she sighed at herself .

" Yathuar Demslikov, huh.." then, a sinister smile appeared on her delicate face. She thought about the instances where her colleague, Skear, would survive.

If there's one thing she got from her element, it would be the rotten personality of the sin. Crossing out her skills in bed, this personality was the only kind of attack she would trigger for safety measures.

Vive got a grasp of Yathuar's ability and decided to not interfere.

"Hahaha! I doubt you'd survive but good luck, partner" she turned to sitting and poked at the nerves to ease her panting and rejuvenated herself.

"How can such an ant survive, I wonder?" she then looked at the direction where her partner vanished.

' In this age,.. you cannot trust anyone. Remember that you are always yourself.. ' She reminisced of her former colleague and smiled bitterly.

"Yeah.. you f#cked me up." Chuckling, she got up and patted her clothes. Betrayals are frequent when you're used to choose between life or death and Vive's choice is life.

The only thing she inherited from her element that made her survive. Selling out her partner, sucking them dry of fluid.. Things like these are common if you were her partner.

Too bad for Skear who was now with her.

After a few hours of entertaining herself, she went back to report the situation to the main quarters.
