I let ginger walk me back to my room to avoid suspicion. I didn't want anyone to know what I was thinking and planning at the moment. Even though I didn't trust the letter I got from York yet, I also coudn't trust anyone to know about it either.
Everything would be just my decisions and my plan now until I would know who was telling the truth and who was not.
I peeked over the window of my room as I looked over Ginger, walking his way back to the hallway after leaving me inside my room. I didn't know his real purpose for doing that. I didn't want to suspect his goodness for something like making sure that I got back guarded to my room and wasn't escaping on the way.
I have to adopt the human way of thinking that everyone is innocent until proven. However, at the same time, behind those rules, humans were always aware that everyone connected with suspecting stuff cannot be trusted.
That was even one of the reasons why there were many cases of innocent convicts.
