(THEA'S POV)
I locked the door, so we can have more time. A locked door means they will have to knock first and delay them and more time for us to do our thing.
"Gabin, come here; we will have a little adventure. Come, let's play," I want to convince Gabin with less explanation needed, and maybe this way, using his mentality of being a child. I think I will be able to convince him more quickly.
"What are we going to do, Thea?" He asked curiously and looked sleepy.
He trudged towards the window where I was sitting with one of my feet out and one in. We are going to act like spiderman and crawl over the window. Come here, join me, and don't be afraid," I told him that with a fake smile. I just have to smile even though my lips are shivering with fears and worries.
He suddenly looked excited and abruptly climbed over the window, which gave me relief.
