Chapter 30 - Wedding

When love appears, death is no longer a dream.

"Mom...Uncle..." I called. "...Guys" I looked at Blythe, Jax, Sir Ice, my closest friends in the orchestra, Gray, Brent, Donna, and Thea.

"I want to ask you guys something"

Falling in love with him was like entering a house and finally realizing I'm home. When he smiles at me I feel invisible hands wrapping around me making me feel safe. When his eyes are locked on mine, it's like I can see galaxies instead of just pupils. Having him in my life makes me feel like everything's possible in this world, like I can conquer anything. I don't regret meeting him and I know he might be my first but what I really wish in life is for him to be my last.

"Why is going on? Why am I wearing this?" Aaron asked as Jax fixes his tuxedo.

"I kept telling the 100th time, It's Sir Ice's wedding. Now, will you just stay still?"

"But he didn't announced it! I didn't even know he has a lover" he groaned.

Jax finished, "There are a lot of things you don't know. Let's go, we'll be late" he grabbed Aaron to the car and went to a church.

"There isn't even any people yet!" he yelled. Jax grabbed him by him elbow, "Ugh, just shut up and go inside" he pushed him to the door as it slammed open.

There he saw his Dad and Louella's Mom. To his left was Blythe, some members of the orchestra and Sir Ice. He looked at Jax, confused, "What the heck? You said it's Sir Ice's wedding! Why is he there?" he glared at Jax. He just shrugged as he jogs towards Blythe's side.

He looked in front of him to see the girl that did this. She wore a simple wedding dress with flowers in her hands. Her hair was tied in a updo that connects to her veil.

"W-What..." he stared at his Dad.

"Walk" he mouthed to which he did. In a typical wedding, the groom has to be the one waiting for the bride while the bride walks down the aisle as people adore her dress and her. He couldn't stop crying as he walks toward Louella. When he was finally in front of her, tears ran down his face again. He never thought his dream would come true.

"I got help from them" I began as I look over at Mom and his Dad and also at Blythe and the others. "It was all thanks to them" I smile. He couldn't stop crying to which I laugh.

"This isn't really an official wedding. There's no priest, no papers but... There's us" he laughed softly.

"You wanted this, right? I want us to get married too. Before you, I've only ever really loved two men, and they were so very different to each other. You are some holy blend of them both, as if the universe made someone that if I ever met them, I'd know for sure they were unique in all the world" I say like I'm saying my vows.

"So, I'm so happy to have met you, and I'm scared too, there is such joy and such pain. I've never wanted any form of eternity until now, I never saw the point. So stay, be in love with me too, be brave enough to take my hand"

I reached for his hand, he held it tight, so tight.

"I have lived long enough for this moment. You were with me for almost a year and I kinds wished I have known you earlier. There were no paths around me and no sign of another person. I can't think of a name that belongs to me or a single person I know. Any face my subconscious offers has as much resonance as a total stranger. I wouldn't know my own mother if she walked right in front of me, if I have one that is." he chuckled.

"But then you came along. And that was the greatest feeling I have ever felt. I loved you before, I'll love you now, and I'll you you forever"

The people cheered as we kiss gently.

"Lou.."

"Yeah?"

"There is a way..." he seriously answered.

My pupils flared, "...what..."

"But it's risky. Doctor said I have 30% chance to survive. And I'm willing to do it, Lou. I want to be wait you, my father, and everyone else until we grow old and grey"

My eyes swam with tears, "That's good news" my tears continued flowing.

"It's overseas, Lou"

I hit his chest lightly, "Anywhere's fine as long as you get to live, moron" to which he laughed softly.

"I love you"

I am his, and he is mine, and it has been that way all along. I wait with my hands clutching his arms for stability as be considers his response.

He frowns at me, "Say it again"

"Aaron" I say, "I love you"

He presses his face to my neck and kisses me right above the collarbone, kisses my cheeks, and kisses my lips.

"I love you, too" he said.

"You're devouring her, Aaron. Take it easy, will you?" Jax joins in with Blythe by his side.

"You're always ruining the moment, Jacky"

"Jax! It's Jax!"

"Have you talked about this with your father?" I whisper to which he nodded.

"He was the one who suggested it..."

"Oh" I nodded.

"When will you leave the country?"

"In, uh, two weeks"

I smiled lightly, "...Can I come too?"

"I will be fine, Lou. Take care of your Mom here, she needs you" he ruffles my hair.

I intertwined my hands with him, "I'll wait for you to come back"

"Wait for me" he smiles.

The day has finally gone, both of us preparing for his leave.

"Are you ready for the leave?" I asked. We're here back again at the music room. We thought, or Aaron thought that it was time to finally tell them about Aaron's illness before he goes for surgery.

"Actually, no." he answered. "At first, I didn't want to do the operation for it needs a lot of money and time. But I promise, I won't die. I can't die now that you're finally mine" he smiled.

a voice behind us said:

"What—"

"What do you mean... That you're, you're gonna die?" as rivers of tears fell from Blythe's eye. Jax was there as well.

"Are you really..." Jax looked at us both.

We both stared at each other and then Jax nodded at them as a response followed by moaning of Blythe. Jax told them both everything about his illness and that he's going overseas for operation.

"Can I have my last request?" everyone wailed as Aaron asked.

"No, no, no. I meant before I go. Can we all, you know, play a song together?"

"Moron, we'll be playing again after you return. And I'll be more greater than you" Jax sniffed as he opens his cello.

We all played one last song together. I pondered, will this really be the last time I get to play with Aaron? The last time I get to see him.
