Sean guided the truck down a bumby dirt road before they pulled up in front of a house on a hill in the woods. As soon as he turned the truck off he exited before catching a black blur that came from the house. "Hey there boy, how have you been? Have you been behaving?" Sean spoke, with a huge smile on his face, to the blur that was actually a black labrador. The dog barked in response but then turned into a defensive position and growled when it spotted Sara coming from the truck. "Down" Sean's voice full of command to the dog. The dog laid down but didn't take its eyes off of Sara. Sean walked over to Sara before taking her hand. He walked to the dog, "Luna , this is Sara." The dog looked before turning its head and barking. Then it got up, wagging its tail, as it rubbed up against her leg. Sara smiled as she bent over to pet Luna. "I like this dog." Sean smiled before muttering, "Sisters mutt" before eyeing the dog who backed away. Sara looked at the dog who backed away and ran back into the house, "why did you scare it away." Sean glanced at Sara before shrugging. "You know the dog I get, Ill train it to bite you on command." Sara stated before walking to the house. Sean chuckled as he followed her.
Inside the house the smell of mesquite filled the room. Sean immediately spoke, "Dads cooking out back. Make yourself comfortable I'll go talk to him a bit. I need the keys to my house from him anyways." Sean walked to the fridge before pulling out a beer and heading to the back porch. After he left her Sara looked at the couch to see Luna laying there already asleep. "Psst what a guard dog you are" she stated to it only for the dog to snort and sigh. As Sara walked around the house she noticed that there was no ornate details, no expensive furniture, nothing that would make anyone believe this was the home to the parents of a billionaire.
As she toured the house, she came to one conclusion about the simple decor: warm and comfortable. Everything that a home should be. She leaned over the back of the couch and stared at the floor in front of it. Suddenly she started imagining children running around and Sean sitting in the chair. She started to smile at the thought when she felt a hand on her waist. At first she went stiff but then that familiar smell of wood and leather hit her nose causing her to instantly relax. She leaned her head back on Sean's chest, only to hear him question, "what made you so happy?" Sara blushed as she realized what she had thought about with Sean nearby. She shook her head before saying, "nothing important" Sean chuckled before holding up a set of keys, "do you want to see a rich billionaire's oasis?" Sara smiled before taking the keys.
Sean drove the truck through the woods behind his parents place until they arrived at a large pond. Sara gasped as she looked out over the pond. The sun was setting behind the trees surrounding the pond. On the other side she could see a cabin and wooden dock. The scene looked straight out of a painting. Sean drove around the pond to the cabin. As he got out he looked behind the truck before muttering, "stupid mutt." Sara looked in the direction Sean was staring to see Luna running up to them. She smiled before getting out of the truck, "you get the couch tonight, Luna and I get the bed." She stated while sticking her tongue out before taking the keys and running in the house with the dog. Sean could only shake his head as he watched. "So much for man's best friend" Sean sighed grabbing the bags from the bed.
Inside the cabin Sara noticed that the furniture and design was simple. This cabin was the complete oposite of the ornately designed mansion. Simple and rustic. After Sean brought the bags in he started a fire in the fireplace. Soon the cold cabin was filled with warmth and flickering light. Sean pointed to a door, that's the study, master bedroom is through that door and that door leads to the kitchen. Sara nodded the opened a cupboard finding some blankets. She pulled out a couple before setting them on the couch and bringing a pillow from the master bedroom. Sean had just walked out of the kitchen to see this sight, "what are you doing?" Sara chuckled, "you thought I was joking about you sleeping on the couch?"
"Well actually yes I did. You are really exchanging my warmth for the dog?" Sara chuckled at Sean's shocked expression. "You think just cause your my husband I'd forgive you for yesterday that easily?" Sara chuckled before going in the bedroom and locking the door behind her grinning like a child. Sean smirked sinisterly at the door before leaning against it. After he rested his hand on the handle, he very quickly opened it. Sara turned as she heard the door open. Stuttering she asked, "how did you get in?" while looking at the door that had no obvious signs of damage. Smirking Sean leaned against the door frame looking at the woman who was nervously fidgeting with her hands. Finally he spoke, "biometric door handle. You really thought you could lock me out in my own house." Sean said as he smirked while walking towards the woman.
When he got close to her he leaned down and whispered in her ear. "You're in my trap little kitten, you can't escape. I will hunt you down to the end of the earth if I have to." The words laced with possessiveness and power as Sean stood back straight again. However to Sara, her brain focused on the assault of the wood and leather scent on her nose, and the warmth and comfort it always brought her, the words carrying concern and care to her, while his tone soft and sweet. Looking up at the man, she couldn't help but smile that she had a man willing to do that for her. She embraced him before realizing it. Sean looked down at her smiling before saying, "so this absurd sleeping arrangement need to change." Sara smiled before letting go and walking to the bathroom, "well me and Luna are still on the bed. You're more than welcome to join." Before entering the bathroom she looked back and smirked at Sean who just shook his head.
