Shortly after Claire walked put a plump middle aged man walked in "ahhh Ms. Morgan you're awake. I'm Dr. Park. Let's check some vitals real quick. Then we have to observe you for 24 hours."
"I'm sorry Dr. Park but I'd like to begin discharge procedures as soon as possible. There's no need for all of this. I need to be somewhere tonight" Sara quickly responds.
Dr. Park looked at Sara stunned but quickly regained his composure "madam if the financial of your hospitalization is your worry you don't need to worry about that it has already been taken care of. The drug you were given last night is not weak. We just want to make sure that there are no major side effects." Sara looked at the doctor with determination in her eyes "I'm sorry doctor but I want to begin the discharge process immediately." Dr. Parks sighed as he realized that this young woman was just as stubborn as the man who brought her. He instructed the nurse that was waiting outside to begin the process for her.
As Sara was waiting for the discharge process to finish, a tall man wearing a suit walked up to her and in a professional but courteous tone "Ms. Morgan?"
"Can I help you?" Sara looked at the man suspiciously while eye the police officer talking to a nurse nearby. "Yes ma'am, my name is Frank Thomas. I have been tasked with your safety and transportation by my boss." Sara visibly showed her shock and noticed the police officer walking over. She heaved a sigh a relief thinking the officer was going to help her get out of the situation but the words the officer spoke made her even more shocked.
"Frank Thomas is that you! It's been a while. Heard you were in Europe what brings you back to the USA?" Frank shook the mans hand while his face never changed from the serious and sweeping looks not focusing on anything for too long. "My boss has assigned me to Ms. Morgan here , Captain."
"Ah your boss the man that pulled you to the dark side filled with money and no honor." The officer chuckled before turning to Sara " you're in good hands Ms. Morgan. Frank here used to be the leader of the cities Dignitary Protection team. Then he went to go work for the dark side." The captain said without hesitation to show his disgust to the man that pulled his most loyal and best friends from the force. "I'm sorry to interrupt you're meeting but I have an officer to visit. Take care and Frank let's get together and talk old times sometime." Frank simply snorted at the man while keeping his eyes on alert before turning to Sara as the officer walked away. "Shall we get going Miss?"
"I'm still waiting on the paperwork from the nurse regarding my discharge." Sara shyly said as she pondered of the person who saved her and if this mans boss was the same person. "Here are your discharge papers and all of your belongings. Shall we get going then ma'am." Frank responded in his serious tone. Sara took her belongings and paperwork from Frank, while still not able to shake the shock from her face.
The two walked out of the hospital as Frank led her to an Audi Q7 and opened the back door for her while asking her where she wanted to go. Sara told him Morgan Jewelries as she had some jewelry to pick up from her father. As Frank drove the car, Sara looked out the window as she became lost in thought about what happened the night before and that smell that she couldn't shake from her mind before she lost consciousness. She was so lost in thought that she didn't realize that they had arrived at the store for a few minutes until she heard Frank's voice "ma'am we have arrived." Sara's eyes turned cold as she looked at the jewelry store and simply replied "oh" then alighted from the car. Sara walked into the store and walked straight to her fathers office but paused as she heard her fathers voice from inside his office."who are you to barge into my business and demand that I see you?" A cold raspy voice responded to her fathers question "Mr. Morgan, I am already showing you grace by not disrupting your business and putting you into bankruptcy. So please listen to my words carefully. I am Mr. Stevens, the supervisor of Swan Restaurants in the US. While normally we do not care about our customers private affairs and business dealings within our restaurants, when it involves drugging a patron we must get involved. Mr. Humphries has already been turned over to the authorities and I am here to warn you to not set your daughter up with anyone again."
Sara listening to the conversation was shocked that Clyde Stevens was in her fathers office. She had been trying to get an investment deal with Swan Restaurants but their parent company Dearborn was being a pain in her backside over the terms of the contract. She continued to eavesdrop on the conversation as her father rebutted "You think your high and mighty because you're from Dearborn Industries…"
"No sir I am simply passing a message on from a man that you offended that night by that blind date business deal you made." Clyde quickly cut her father off. "Who on earth did I offend! I didn't even know he was going to do that. You seriously think that I would allow such a thing happen to my only daughter." The latest comment from her father made Sara scoff at the man suddenly acting liking a protective father. "Doesn't matter what your defense is, you've offended the CEO and this is your only warning."
Sara backed away from the door as she realized that the CEO of Dearborn Industries was provoking her own father in her defense. She quickly walked to the bathroom and splashed cold water on her face to wake herself up from the shock. As she walked out of the bathroom she saw Mr. Stevens walking out of her fathers office. She took a deep breath as she slowly walked into her fathers office "Micheal why did Clyde Stevens come out of your office?"
"Ahhhh Sara my wonderful daughter, Mr. Stevens and I where just discussing a business opportunity." Micheal stated while wiping the sweat off his forehead. "What brings you over here to this part of town?" Sara glared at her father while he blatantly lied to her. "Just give me the jewelry you had cleaned and I'll be on my way." Micheal sighed as he knew there was no way he could make his daughter stay. He handed the box over to her and watched her leave with sadness in his eyes.
Sara walked out and took a deep breath then suddenly heard behind her "Where to next ma'am?" Sara jumped as she turned and looked at Frank "you came up like a ninja. Just take me to get my car from Swan, I don't need a personal driver." She then saw Claire standing besides Frank as was shocked to see her again. "Thought you ditched me at the hospital? Frank informed me when you left. Your car is already at your residence. We can take you there instead."
"That's fine. I don't need a watchdog or a driver still." Sara stated coldly as she walked into to the car and got in. "I'm sorry ma'am but we are only following orders, we understand how you feel but we can't afford to disobey our boss." Frank stated as he started to drive the car away. After reaching her residence Claire stopped Sara from getting out of the car, causing Sara to give her questioning look. "the team isn't finished making sure your residence is ...." she paused as she looked at the house and then moved out of Sara's way and said "you more than welcome to enter now."
As Sara entered her house she walked into her bedroom and fell on the bed and realeased a huge sigh that she didn't realize that he had been holding. She didn't realize just how stressful the eventful day had become. She gotten up and looked at herself in the full length mirror realizing she was still wearing her black dress still, she looked out the window and saw that it was getting dark and suddenly realized that she had forgotten about the board meeting in the morning. "shit" she exclaimed as she quickly took a shower and began to get ready for the next morning by looking at reports that Marcus had sent over one last time.
