As the class filled up, everyone started talking about Horizon. It had only been a day since release but it was the biggest game to have ever existed, every VR sim had been sold and more were being made to please the masses. They would have a massive reduce in price meaning a lot more people would be able to play and enjoy the game.
"My dad is saying that he's gonna get me one, he works in Horizon Edge so he gets two for free." a kid called James said in my class. He was one of the richest in our class and constantly bragged about it to his lackeys.
"OMG, can I have the other?" a ginger kid next to him said. His name was Adam and used to be my friend before I became poor. As soon as I couldn't buy him things he ran over to James and started sucking up to him like a leech.
"Yeah sure, but only if you join the guild I'm going to make and do what I say in the game"
"Of course, of course" Adam said nodding his head like a dog that wanted treats.
Once my teacher came in the talk quietened until it was silent and the lesson started.
Four hours later it was lunch and I had an hour to myself. Having been bored for the entire day, I went to the nurses office where I went to 'sleep'. It was one of the great things that our school had, small rooms where students could sleep and relax without being disturbed.
As soon as I lay down I logged in, I had ten hours in game before I had to leave. Opening my eyes, I saw a stone ceiling above me, I sat up and found myself in a quaint house. It was made of both stone and wood and had only a wooden bed as furniture, I opened the wooden door and stepped outside onto the cobbled street. All around me were houses that looked like they came out of the medieval period, wanting to see what I was in I turned into my bird form and took to the sky. When I was in the sky I saw something that shocked me, a massive city was built around me, it could house at least a million people and had a huge castle in the middle. The city seemed like they were sectioned of by walls and it gave me a very big Attack On Titan vibe. I flew towards the castle and entered it, it was completely barren apart from a large stone double bed in the master bedroom and an alter in the basement. I wondered what that was about but never figured it out, after seeing the entire castle I decided to check out the rest of the city.
As I flew around the city I saw many complicated structures that my undead minions should never have been able to make, for example there was a church in the first ring that reminded me of Notre Dame. After completing my survey of the city I went out and found where my undead minions where, they were currently making a form of barracks outside the city as well as a training ground. They moved the wood and stone with extreme speed, when they needed to dig out the stone they pushed their hands into the stone and moved it like it was sand. When I watched this I realised that my minions could get stronger just by doing menial tasks that anyone complete.
Leaving my minions to do as they pleased, I flew out of the mountain and towards the Green Goblins. As I flew I realised how realistic the game was, the wind rustled my metallic feathers and though I had no skin I could feel the air rolling off me. The warmth of the sun heated me to the point it was slightly uncomfortable but not unbearable.
