I was walking on a lonely road, thinking where it might take me. It was the season of autumn. Leaves crunched beneath my bare feet and the twigs that were abandoned by their parent trees pricked under my soft toes. Walking a few miles ahead, I found a lake that stood motionless between the greenery. The water was so calm; I picked up a stone and threw it in the water, causing ripples to form on it.
I enjoyed the small disturbance I created in the serene lake when suddenly my feet slipped under something muddy and I soon found myself drenching wet in the cold water.
I shivered under its ruthless cold and tried to get my way back to the land but I don't know how to swim. I struggled with my body, trying to move forward but I failed every time. The water took me in its embrace and soon I drowned myself in the dark pits of oblivion. My senses went numb. I wish they stay numb forever.
