"What! What the hell is this!" Eliana shouted as her eyes widened at the sight beneath her. She gripped the door frame as tight as she can, her fingernails digging deep into the painted white wood. If she so much as loosen her grip, she felt that she might get sucked into the vacuum of a white hole below her.
Not too long ago, when she opened the door, Eliana was met with the familiar layout of the kitchen, although the only difference was that tiles lead up to a tiny white hole in the center.
'Well, that doesn't look very safe...' Its diameter was about one foot and Eliana thought about placing a plank over it to keep anybody from 'accidentally' falling inside.
Suddenly, she felt a strong force from behind her that was pushing her towards the hole. She instinctively grabbed hold of whatever sturdy thing was nearest to her.
The plates neatly stacked beside the sink flew everywhere, smashing on the walls and cabinets. On the left, the windows started the rattle. The black side chairs of the dining room screeched against the tiles as they slid closer and closer to the hole.
Eliana winced at the noise and dearly wished she could cover her ears.
The table began to shake and Eliana watched as the last remaining dining chair fell deeper until it was like a drop of ink on a blank piece of paper. The drop shrank even more until it completely vanished.
Out of nowhere, her vision blurred and Eliana had to blink several times.
Then the table tumbled into the hole and it seemed that matter how far it fell, it would make a lasting appearance for a couple more meters. But two seconds later, even that disappeared in the sea of whiteness.
The hole slowly became bigger and bigger, engulfing everything in its path, and now it was right on the edge of the doorframe.
Eliana tried to stand her ground, but it was too close and the force was growing more powerful by the minute. Not to mention, she was practically hanging sideways off the frame now.
One of her fingernails pulled back, making her let out a yelp and one of her hands slip off.
With as much strength as she could muster, Eliana tried to hold on with her one sole arm.
Although her finger ached, she grabbed on with her other hand.
Throughout the pain and struggling, she pulled and pulled with all her might until she got the top half of her body over the frame.
Eliana continued to pull and she finally got her whole body over. When her toe passed the door frame, her body dropped to the floor and she couldn't feel the force on her back anymore.
'It's a miracle that I was able to hang on with these spaghetti arms of mine…' She panted as she rolled over to her side.
'But still, it's not completely over yet.' She sat up and peered down the depths of the white doom.
Her breathing returned back to normal and after dusting herself off, she stood up.
While hooking her foot onto the edge of the frame and grabbing onto the side with one hand, she reached out for the door knob.
"Almost… Almost there…" Eliana's wiggling fingers were just centimeters away, waiting to feel the coolness of the golden metal under her fingertips.
"That's d-a-n-g-e-r dangerous, hehe!" She heard a familiar voice say from behind her.
"Eh?" Eliana craned her neck to try to see who exactly was talking.
"Wait a minute… You're the one who pinched me before, aren't you?" Her eyebrows rose while her hand searched for the knob.
"...Hehe."
"Why, of course you are. Now if you'll excuse me… I just need to- Ah!"
Eliana felt a sudden blow on the lower of her back and the next thing she knew, she was falling again.
"Aaaaaaand there she goes, hehe…" The voice trailing off as she fell.
This time, Eliana just stopped fighting it.
She was too tired to move her arms around aimlessly and she just observed how the doorway shrank in the distance. It was like every time she ran away from something, sooner or later she would come right back to it.
She looked all around her and instead of black darkness surrounding her, it was white nothingness. Somehow it made her feel lonely and she didn't like it one bit.
Eliana continued to fall and she noticed how the white gradually became darker and darker. First it was all white, then it shifted gray, until finally it became black.
She blinked and somehow found herself laying on her back against a stone-cold powdery floor.
It seemed to snow and every time a snow flake fell onto a random spot on her body, that specific spot tingled. Eliana tried to keep her eyelids open, but the growing weariness from what she has experienced so far forced them to close...
