SUNDAY. 8:32 AM
"It is true. I am engaged to Madison."
That statement plays round my mind for hours and hours as I stare lost in space. When I had asked Adrian that question, deep down inside I wanted him to laugh hard with his hand on his belly, tears filling his eyes as he says to me-
"Don't be silly, Kinsley. There's no such thing. You're the only girl for me."
Well, the last sentence is highly impossible to hear him say, but I still wanted him to say it's false.
I sigh, out loud with my shoulders slumped, sitting on top of the rock-hard camp bed. It's the final, official last day of Camp. It was going to end yesterday but we all got punished, now we're going back home on Sunday.
At least now I can breathe a little; this self-inflicting problematic camp is over and I get to see my mum. I wonder how she's doing? I hope she misses me as much as I do. Even if Camp's over, I still have school—where I'll meet Jake, Adrian, Madison and Jenny.
