I stood looking out the front door, trying to get a grasp on the thoughts that whirled around in my mind. I wanted to stay here, it was so much simpler than my life. I wanted to do nothing but test myself hunting to feed myself in these simple times. I pushed away from the door walking toward the empty field. I felt him before I could see him, turning on my toe I looked toward the shadows of the house.
"Why are you lurking?" Nick stepped from the shadows that screamed of age and mystery.
"I do not lurk child, I may do many things. But never in my life have I lurked...that implies that I am unwanted and who doesn't wanna hang out with me." I looked at him with a bored expression, trying my best to hold it on my face. The wizard was a nice guy, while he was handsome, he still held parts of his boyish face, that made him more adorable than ruggedly handsome.
