I came to consciousness with a jerk, and a pounding headache. While the falling idea had been a good one, it didn't fix the time difference between falling and hitting the ground. I groaned and rolled over on the bed. Turning my face into the pillow Camden's sent was all over the pillow. It was soothing, but there was a distinct distance to his emotions, I felt my confusion cross my face.
"You have no idea how thankful I am you are awake." I looked to my left, almost putting a kink in my neck with the speed of the turn. My mom sat in the kitchen chair beside my bed, she had a bruise on the underside of her chin. Sitting up in bed I recognized my room, but Camden was still so distant.
"Where's Cam?" She shook her head, rolling her eyes at the same time.
