Chapter 75 - Rebirth

Recap

"Did you truly forget about me?" As he sat next to me, he inquired.

"Only for a fraction of a second. Sorry for the inconvenience."

"Are you certain you're all right?" He inquired.

"All I want is to feel secure. I'm in desperate need of someone to hold my hand."

"You've figured it out." We remained in perfect silence as he hugged me.

"I'd never been so terrified in my entire life. I was racing behind you one second and your body was in the air the next. I had to do CPR on you because you weren't breathing for about a minute. I didn't know what to do when your white dress turned red. I felt completely ineffective."

"Please accept my apologies." I muttered something.

"I swear I lost my shite when you died twice. I was frightened. I even said a prayer."

"Did you pray?" Incredulous, I inquired.

"Yes, I was at a loss for what to do. I made a request to God."

"Oh, and what was that?" says the narrator.
