That was how Jasper felt at the moment as he watched the technicians try to rescue the stuck duo. All kinds of thoughts ran through his head that he conjured the scenario of having to choose between Scarlett and Ben.
He knew it sounded stupid but he couldn't try to imagine if something went wrong and they had to save only one of them, who would that be?
Squeezing his eyes shut tight and inhaling deeply, the answer was clear to him. Jasper would always choose Scarlett and even if Ben doesn't understand, he would make it up to him for the rest of his life.
However, none of that scene happened and the duo was rescued successfully one after the other with Scarlett being the first as expected.
