"I have written a great many stories and I still don't know how to go about it except to write it and take my chances." — John Steinbeck.

It was over an hour and Scarlett still couldn't believe she just broke up with Jasper. Yes, she felt surreal but not heartbroken - which pissed her off the more. People who broke up with a love interest would mourn over the loss; cry and be sad; she didn't feel anything. Instead, she expressed guilt. Was something wrong with her?
Jasper had done everything for her, had loved her despite her shitty curse and luck and yet this was how she paid him back? It was crude but it was the best way.
Perhaps their relationship had deteriorated before this breaking point?
