"Thank you," Victoria said to Thomas without even looking up as she received the coffee from him. Although he wasn't as efficient as her other partners, he had his own perks and she's getting used to him.
"You're quite early," Thomas pointed out, taking his seat. His desk was beside hers so he didn't have to stretch his neck or raise his voice to be heard.
"Yeah, I have to conclude the report and close the case," she added, " And I'm taking the day off,"
"What?!" He sounded shocked, "Finally," Thomas was relieved.
