"Kuro, you're about to go out there in front of thousands of people? Are you ready?" My assistant calmly asks.
"I am ready for anything. I don't have a speech prepared, however I will try my best to succeed." I replied in a cold sweat. (。◝‿◜。)
The double doors open and I am faced with a beautiful, scenic, yet eerie view and a vast crowd below me. I take a deep breath. All fates rest on my shoulders.
The sky is a nauseating mix of dark purple and brown, the people below me look tranced, as if they are wooden dolls.
They all look up at me with wide eyes, I stare down with helpless, hesitant eyes.
"I have to do this... I can do this..." I gulp. (。◝‿◜。)
I take a deep breath.
"Right where do we start..." I begin. (。◝‿◜。)
"A leader should be responsible. A leader should be kind and caring, accepting all beliefs and views as long as those beliefs don't harm others. A leader should not judge a book by its cover and so the leader is for everybody. They should be peaceful, settling things through peaceful ways, with war being the last resort. Furthermore, a leader has to carry their people. I want to be that leader. I hope I can be that leader." I announce. (。◝‿◜。)
I look down at the people below me, stare for a while and earn no reaction. They all are lifeless, their expressions never changed. No one moved, no one spoke, no one even breathed.
I gain consciousness of this fact. I am in a cold sweat. I awkwardly take a bow and leave the balcony.
"To think a mere fifteen year old like you could say such mature things like that? That's impressive, Kuro." My assistant gasps.

Before I can reply, the bell for break time rings. I nod at the taunting voice and exit the classroom.
I walk down the winding, long corridors of the school building, I am faced with several couples showing their affection publicly, they hold and kiss each other repeatedly.
This is one of the things that make school uncomfortable and obnoxious to be inside; people just don't consider others' feelings.
I walk confidently into the cafeteria, where many people gather to eat their food.
"Hello." The taunting voice says blandly. ( ᓀ ‸ ᓂ )
I do not answer, as I am still in deep thought.
"Hello? Anyone in there?" The taunting voice asks. ( ᓀ ‸ ᓂ )
"Yes." I simply reply. (。◝‿◜。)
"Have you forgotten who I am already?" The voice speaks again. ( ᓀ ‸ ᓂ )
"Yeah, what's your name again?" I asked mockingly. (。◝‿◜。)
I lied. I know the name of the taunting voice. She is a popular person who is liked by many for the fact that she's daring and confident.
"The name is Naomi. N-A-O-M-I. Do I have to spell it out for you on a piece of paper you idiot?" She replies, agitated. ( ᓀ ‸ ᓂ )
"Yeah, I don't know how to spell." I say sarcastically. (。◝‿◜。)
"Well if you're that stupid, how come you get full marks in every single one of your tests?" She questions. ( ᓀ ‸ ᓂ )
There is a short burst of silence in the room. No body says anything, just pure silence.
"At least I understand sarcasm, you should learn it somehow." I answer blandly. (。◝‿◜。)
Naomi clenches her fist and pulls it back as if she is about to punch me.
A tall, dark shadow looms over Naomi and puts its hand on her shoulder.
"Don't. Naomi. Remember why you came here." It speaks in a menacing voice. (ー_ー )
"You're right Evan. Sorry." Naomi hides her face in embarrassment. ( ᓀ ‸ ᓂ )
It is strange. I have never seen Naomi talk to someone in a way in which she sounds defeated.
"Hm? What business do you have with me?" I ask curiously. (。◝‿◜。)
"Meet me outside the back wall after school." She says quietly, whispering in my ear. ( ᓀ ‸ ᓂ )
"Sure..." I trail off. (。◝‿◜。)
"Come on Evan, lets go." She gestures to go. ( ᓀ ‸ ᓂ )
Evan tags along with her, he eyes me in an intimidating way and then leaves at once.
I just shrug and begin to open my lunch box.
The biggest, most burning question is, why would I answer and listen to her needs? Yes, I'm curious about what she wants but my conscience is telling me not to.
