"Hmm? It's locked? Did I lock it before?" Annalisa turned around and get the key.

She was furious inside and her mind was burning from anger that she couldn't remember if she really did nor care.

She wanted to go in so badly and thought a lot of ways how to deal with Leila's daughter.

She grabbed the key and went back to the room at the end of the hallway immediately.

She went in and closed the door slowly. She sat down beside the bed using the chair for the study desk.

She looked at Carla who was sleeping soundly with her mouth slightly open. Kids.

When Annalisa thought about her childhood past, she wanted to strangle Carla right now. However, she couldn't. This kid is too young and didn't know about the world yet.

She sighed, "It's so annoying,"

Annalisa closed her eyes and think it through. She must think before she acts, she wasn't a kid anymore.

First of all, it wasn't Carla's fault. Second, she's babysitting her right now, if something happens to her, it's her responsibility.

Third, this is a mansion and Leila isn't as poor as before, even though Annalisa got someone behind her, right now, she's in her territory, it's too risky.

And lastly, the one behind her was scarier than Leila. One wrong move and either way she'll be dead. Even if she kills Carla, it wasn't enough as it was Leila she wanted to suffer.

Killing them is easy, but what she had been through, Leila's death isn't enough to satisfy her. She wanted to let Leila feel the same way she felt before.

As for their friendship, Annalisa already erased that the moment she knew who Leila really is.

She stood up and left the room. Killing Carla isn't the best way to take vengeance.

She'll get caught before she could even satisfy herself. Annalisa's eyes were sharp and deep that looking at them would slice anyone up.

Annalisa didn't know yet that she would regret not killing Carla right now. Though she can't, after all, Carla is being protected.

....

When Annalisa left, Carla slowly opens her eyes.

Lulu sprung from Carla's body and so did the rest, "Whew, finally, she left. Master?"

Carla looked at the door where Annalisa just left indifferently, she quickly got up and lock it before she went to the bathroom.

She felt disgusted being touch by Annalisa. In the end, she honestly didn't like her.

"Master, why she didn't kill you? I thought she will, doesn't she hate your mom just now? I could feel the killing intent from her." Lulu pondered.

"She wants to, but it's not the best idea. Knowing her, she thinks before she acts. Even if she was being emotional earlier, her rationality stops her." Carla said.

Charlotte helped her scrub her back softly, "Then, she'll think of another way to kill you, master?"

"No, not yet. She won't gain anything by killing me. After all, death is an easy punishment. Though what she hates is my mom, even if she kills me, it's not enough to satisfy her." Carla replied.

She knew Annalisa well especially when Annalisa was her second mother in her past life, the one she followed around before. She knew what kind of person Annalisa is, and knowing her, other people's suffering is the best way to satisfy Annalisa.

"Then, what would she do, master?" Lucy asked and everyone also curious about what their master thinks.

Even though they can communicate through their mind, Carla wasn't thinking much but everyone can feel that Carla knows something in her heart. They can feel what's in her heart, but couldn't know what it is.

"The best way to satisfy her needs is to torture, my mom. Emotionally, mentally and physically. She'll kill my mom when mom is down." Carla just turns the shower on and said it like she was telling a story about someone else.

"Master, aren't you worried?" Lulu was confused and tilted her tiny head.

Riri who was playing at the water, couldn't help mock them with that question, "Pft, why would master be worried? She got us. Master is already old too, she knows what she's doing. If she needs us, we'll just do what she says. Why worry about pointless things?"

The other butterflies pouted, they wanted to retort but couldn't. Even though their master won't say it, they knew that Carla's soul was old, ancient to be precise.

Every time Carla used them, their sealed level power was unlocking slowly every minute. Thus, they can somehow sense Carla's soul now. After all, they are attached to her soul, not to her body.

"It's fine, just as Riri said, no need to worry. If it's the same as last time, she wouldn't move now. Let's wait for my brother to come out before moving." Carla comforted them.

"You have a brother?" The butterflies were in sync when they asked, even Riri.

Carla just smiled at them, "Not yet, but soon..."

After she took a bath she went out and went to the kitchen to ask for a snack. The popcorn wasn't enough to fill her belly. And after that scene in the bedroom, she needed to get out of her room and be with a lot of maids, in case Annalisa change her mind.

She wasn't scared at her but was scared to show Annalisa what she's capable of now and ruin the events. She must wait for her mother to give birth to her younger brother's safety first, before anything else.

When she was eating at the long table with maids behind her, Annalisa found her there.

Annalisa just came here to eat some fruits but didn't expect Carla to be here too, and already took a bath? "It seems you can take care of your little self now, impressive. How was your sleep?"

Carla frowned, 'Again, another villain speech. Isn't that from the *Rapunzel* book? Like, mama knows best? Tsk tsk, no originality.' Carla couldn't help thinking about it that even the butterflies laughed inside the space.

Still, she put up a little smile and answered her, "Got a great rest, Auntie. How was yours?" She didn't smile at the last sentence.

Annalisa glared at her and smiled sweetly, "Great too. Found something interesting."

Even with that sweet smile, Carla could still feel the animosity behind it. You can never lie about your emotions when it comes to a toddler, they can feel it without you speaking.

Carla continued to eat and Annalisa didn't bother her anymore.

Carla told her she'll be playing in her room with a maid and Annalisa was alright with it. Annalisa just followed them to the room and let her play but didn't stay long.

Annalisa wants to stroll at the mansion and cool herself down.

When Annalisa left, Carla asked the maid to stay outside her room and never let anyone in with an excuse of reading in peace.

Carla also wants to continue her strolls at the secret passageways.
