Faye woke up feeling heavy. She glanced beside her and as usual.
Denis was awake. He sat ny the window while sipping a cup of coffee.
She got up which made the bed creak slightly and diverted Denis's eyes to her, "I am going to take a shower."
"But—"
"No. Don't." Faye cut him off again and emphasized every of her words.
Denis fell silent.
Faye used that chance to run off to bathroom, she cleaned her body that was filled with regret. She knew she was being too much. That is something normal for a husband and wife, but deep in her heart she couldn't get rid of the feeling.
Why is Denis so hard to resist?
Why did Faye surrender so easily?
"I put your towel and clothes on the doorknob, Fay."
Faye turned off the shower tap and grabbed her towel and shirt from last night prepared by Denis. She dried herself and put her clothes on—"Wait! These are not the clothes that I wore." The color is the same but the size is too big for her body and it means that it was Denis's shirt.
'That man ...'
Faye put her pants on that suited her perfectly, which means it was her own pants. Then, she went out of bathroom with towel wrapped around her wet hair.
Denis who was also neatly dressed approached to give a warm hug, "Morning, honey~"
Faye dodges the warm embrace, "Don't say good morning to me. Where's my clothes?"
Denis eyes widened for a second before a blush crept up on his cheeks, "Do you forget, honey?"
Faye touched her chin and tilted her head, "Forget what?"
"Because it was hard to unbutton your shirt, I did it forcefully last night," said Denis shyly while scratching his nape.
Faye was shocked to hear that. She didn't realize that because she was drunk from Denis's kiss on her neck and from the hand that touched her body. Her body was craving to be touched more last night. She coughed when she remembered that, "You're impatient."
"How can I not? You're so hard to resist, honey~" teased Denis again.
Faye exhaled, "Never mind. So, when will the moving company come?"
"As promised, at eight o'clock, but they might be late since you know that this is a busy hour," said Denis.
Faye glanced at the clock on the wall, there was still half an hour left, "Wait! We have to go! I forgot we are invited to a breakfast with my family."
How could Faye forget? His father would have been furious. He hated someone who likes to be late the most. It could damage Denis's image if they are late especially since Denis is also unemployment.
They're doomed. This apartment is quite far from her parent's house, she wasn't sure If they would make it on time even if they took the subway.
Faye hurriedly picked up her cellphone beside the lamp table. She checked if there was any message or email. She pressed the button down to check a message from her family.
There's one from Claudia.
From: Mama
Fay, I'm sorry, but our plan to eat together is postponed until tonight, since it is not sunday.
Don't forget to take care of your health, and send my greetings to your husband, tell him to take care of his health too.
Nothing makes Faye happy in the morning other than the news of her event being canceled. Even if it was only getting postponed, at least there's no need for her to rush anymore.
"What happened, Fay?" asked Denis.
"They postponed the event until tonight," said Faye with a wide smile plastered on her face, "we can focus on moving your stuffs, Denis."
Denis smiled too, "I'm glad too, but are you not going to work?"
"I already told them that I am not going to work to help you moving out today," said Faye.
Denis's smile grew wider, "I am touched by the fact that you took your time for me honey~"
"Hm~ then make me breakfast~?" Faye asked in as cute voice as possible.
To be honest, Faye took her leave to calm herself not because of Denis. Helping Denis to move out was just an excuse remembering that Denis was so down after they registered their marriage.
Denis hesitated a little, "I want to, but I am almost running out of cooking ingredients, I feel sorry for Henry."
Faye looked down disappointed that she couldn't taste Denis's cooking, "Is there a restaurant that serves a good breakfast?"
"Of course, Fay. But, you just wait here, okay? I'll go alone," said Denis.
"Why can't I come with you?" asked Faye, "don't tell the employee is a beautiful woman?"
"I've always loved your jealousy, Fay," said Denis, "no, all of the female employees there are married. You can calm down now."
Faye coughed, and realized that what she said sounded like a woman who gets jealous easily. She walked into the living room and sat on the black sofa, "I'm waiting while watching this boring television," which was blocked by Denis who was standing there, "What?"
Denis leaned in, "Where's the good morning kiss~?"
"Seriously Denis, want to try testing me?" Faye asked coldly.
Was he not satisfied with the kiss last night?
Denis smiled a little smile before straightening his body again, "Well, I was trying to make an effort okay? Don't blame me because you are just so hard to resist~"
Faye scratched her arm that weren't itching. She didn't think that Denis would say such a cute thing. She was often praised, but when Denis said it seriously, it made her heart fluttered.
Denis smiled again and said, "I'll be right back, try not to miss me, honey~"
And there we go.
Denis started to tease Faye again which successfully turning her fluttering heart into a dull.
Faye continued to watch Television. She flipped through the channels because it was a news broadcast. The room was so silent and that made her missed Denis's voice. She face palmed at the thought, it seemed like what Denis said had gotten into her mood.
Cklek.
"Hm?" Faye heard the sound of the door opened, she automatically turned around thinking that it was Denis, maybe he went back because he left something. She quickly ran to the door but much to her surprise, instead of Denis's face she saw a brown haired man coming inside.
"Denis, I am back—" The brown haired man stopped on his track when he saw Faye, "Ahhh! Who are you!?"
