Candy was in deep thoughts as she sat on the graveyard while Lizzy paced about to and fro. She was getting anxious.
''Candy, you have to help me regain my memories?'' she said to the girl.
''Shut up Lizzy, I'm thinking. Just sit down and give me some time to think, okay?'' Candy glared at her.
''Well think fast. I don't want to end up an evil spirit''
''Do you think I can even think well with you walking around like that?'' though young, her voice sounded mature. Lizzy sighed and sat by her.
''Well here I am now, think fast'' Lizzy said and Candy suddenly stood up and exclaimed.
''Yes, I got you''
''What did you get? Tell me!!'' Lizzy stood up holding Candy's hand expectantly. ''Tell me what you got?''
''You need someone you can trust, someone who you can really be a bother to. This person must be special in a strange way to you. Someone you can trust your fiancé with'' Candy nodded her head, and smiled proudly about her deductions.
''Someone special in a strange way, one I can entrust Leo with? I don't have such a person'' Lizzy said after thinking it through for a while.
''Really? You mean no friend at all?''
''No, none I can think of at the moment.
''That's strange, there should be one. Come with me'' Candy walked away and Lizzy followed her.
''Where are you going?''
Candy ignored her and walked on arriving at a different gravestone and an old woman appeared behind them, startling Lizzy
''Ahh, you scared me!!!''
Candy turned and saw the old woman, ''you are here?''
''What are you doing here? I thought you said you were never coming here again?'' she asked sitting on her graveyard.
''She needs your help'' Candy ignored the old woman's question and pointed at Lizzy who stood next to her.
''Go back and take her with you'' the old woman paid no attention to Lizzy.
''Please, don't let our personal matters come into play here. I only brought her here because I know you can help her''
Watching them go back and forth with their bantering, she asked curiously, ''who is she''
''Shut up!!!''
''Shut up!!!''
Lizzy looked perplexed after being shut up by the two ghosts. She took a step back away from them and murmured, ''I guess even ghosts have their own issues''
''She can't go back without getting an answer'' Candy said helplessly and the old woman stood up and walked closer to Lizzy. She studied her appearance for a while before turning back to sit on the gravestone.
''A lot of people seem to be at peace now that you are dead'' the old woman finally said.
''What do you mean by that?'' Lizzy asked.
''Take this woman away Candy, I don't want to get mixed up in her business''
''No, I won't go back; I can't go back just yet without finding out who killed me and why they killed me'' Lizzy said firmly.
''You still don't understand, right?'' the old woman looked at Lizzy with a tilted gaze.
''What do I have to do for you to help me?'' Lizzy asked stubbornly, not willing to succumb yet.
''It's not what you have to do young lady. Is, what are you willing to give up just so you can get your heart desire?'' she said to Lizzy.
''What do you mean?''
''Anyone who gets caught up in your business will die. Anyone who will try to help you will end up dying just like you did. How many lives are you willing to sacrifice before you finally achieve what you want? Think about it carefully''
''I…'' Lizzy was speechless.
''You would do anything just for revenge but what can you do when it comes to the death of an innocent person? Go back young lady, you can't fight this battle. Go, I want to sleep'' The old woman turned and laid on the grave stone. Lizzy suddenly held the old woman's hand and said desperately.
''I will protect my own, you just help me. I will make sure I protect all the people that will get involved with me'' her voice quivered as she bit her lips trying to hold back the tears that formed in her eyes. At that moment, she felt she was holding unto the last hope she had.
''Desperate people really do desperate things''
''I will protect them, please help me. I beg you''
''Your desperation to cling on tightly shows how determined you are about finding out what happened to you. however, I must warn you. You are solely responsible for what happens next from here'' the old woman said to Lizzy.
''Huh? What do you mean?''
''It means she will help you. Thanks granny'' Candy smiled.
''Granny? Are you two related?''
''No"
''No"
Both said at once and Lizzy simply nodded her head.
Nicole walked out of the bathroom dressed in blue pyjamas. She walked to the table where she placed the status of Jesus and Mary. She picked a black incense and set it in a small container before lighting it up. her stomach growled and she rubbed it and frowned.
''I'm hungry'' she sighed.
Going into her kitchen she removed a new pack of oats and placed it on the table before setting fire to boil some water. After a second thought, she placed the oat back and removed pack of noodles and placed it on the table. the water soon boiled and she emptied the noodles into it and waited for a while before she broke an egg and added.
When it was ready, she took the pot with her hand gloves and sent it to the hall and sat down in front of it ready to eat. She turned on the TV in her room and ate as she watched the drama that was currently airing.
She suddenly sneezed and scanned the hall. She had already placed salt at the porch before going inside. There shouldn't be any ghost disturbing her tonight. She should be able to sleep soundly tonight peacefully.
