Ermos
On top of that high tower, with its open roof and the wind in their hair, he stood with his apprentice. From up there, they could see for miles around. All the buzzing citizens in the castle's marketplace were but ants. Even mighty bulls from the nearby farmsteads were reduced to tiny black dots.
His apprentice was rather depressed, that much Ermos could tell. It was rare for Pash. No matter how much they struggled, he wouldn't completely lose hope. He would always have at least a sliver of happiness to rely on.
And it was Ermos' doing this time. His lack of care had finally come back to bite him.
"…Oh, my goodness, I cannot believe you two!" Cherry guessed where they had gone. She came storming to the top of that tower, cornering them, blocking their path to retreat. "How could you be so irresponsible, Ermos? Pash has been bedridden for a week! You can't just take him out into the cold… You didn't even make him get dressed first, are you trying to get him killed?"
