"That's… massive," Harkin breathed, struggling to believe that it was even a footprint at all. As they looked around, they could see no more just like it. It was as though the creature had hopped away on one leg.
There was fear in the eyes of the men now. There were too many odd instances to dismiss. The wild had truly taken back the Greyfort.
"…Are we right to go forward?" One man asked. "If it's… if it's as big as this footprint, it isn't something just ten men can fight."
"A giant!" Ermos exclaimed in excitement. "Is that what you think it is?"
The men looked at him, dumbfounded by the look on his face.
"…It could well be," Harkin said slowly. Pash could tell he was resisting the urge to insult, apparently taking his new role as a leader quite seriously.
"Killing one of those is a pretty big deal, right?" Ermos asked.
