Chapter 87 - Chapter 16 - Part 2

Other than his eyes, he seemed to be rather unimpressive. He was likely the same height as Ermos, with a ring of grey hair around his balding head and a gaunt serious face.

On Ermos' very first day in the barracks, he had the misfortune of running into him, as he was being kitted out with his equipment. The man had wandered in ever so casually and was ever so easy to overlook.

"Sorry, old dude, I'm first in line," Ermos had told him as the man had walked right up to the counter ahead of him.

The Captain had regarded him ever so coolly and looked him up and down without a shred of emotion on his face. "Ermos Windbreaker," he had said, as though he was bestowing that name upon him, "you have come to my attention."

With those simple words, spoken so clearly, he had opened the door and left like a phantom, with no one to act as a witness but Ermos himself, for the other chevalar was out the back looking for his equipment.
