"It's days like these when a warrior needs a woman," Ermos said suddenly, as he watched them disappear into the forest. He wasn't quite sure why he said it. He hadn't really been bothered about womanly company for a good while. But as he looked at their retreating figures, he thought they could all use a woman to tend to them.
"I didn't realize that you worried about such things, master," Pash said, raising a curious eyebrow.
"I don't. I just reckon that after a good fight, a woman would have use in keeping a man company," Ermos said.
Pash was intrigued by the topic by now. "Will you ever settle down and marry, master?"
"No," Ermos said, more harshly than he had intended. "I wouldn't try that again. Anyway, why are you standing there asking questions? You're not here to respect the dead, are you?"
