"So, will you (y/n) (l/n) marry me?"
Your POV
There was a moment of silence, the crowd was quiet and everyone was waiting for an answer.
I was so shocked and happy, Shoto definitely caught me by surprise this time.
"(Y/n)?" He asked with hopeful eyes while smiling at me.
I thought for a second to take everything in.
"Shoto... of course I'll marry you!" I said with a huge smile, and small blush on my cheeks.
Shoto put the ring on my finger and immediately got up from kneeling position to give me a big hug followed up by a loving kiss.
The crowd started clapping and whistling. Everything almost seemed too perfect.
"I love you, so much." He smiled as he broke the kiss.
"I love you too Shoto."I smiled while hugging him.
"Congratulations." Aizawa smirked at us then told us to get off the stage, but only me and Shoto walked down together hand and hand.
"Congratulations (y/n)! I can't believe your growing up so fast!" Mina ran up to me and gave me a hug.
"We're the same age Mina." I chuckled.
"Yeah but, you have a prince and I don't." She pouted.
"Eh, well I don't know about that, you and Kirishima seem like a good match." I teased her.
"Hey!" She blushed
...
After a while I got more congratulations from everyone in class 1A and more of the teachers as well. This is definitely a rememberable day.
I was sitting on the couch at the after party by myself, Shoto had to go to the bathroom, and well... everyone was dancing, I just felt a tad bit tired so I decided to sit down for a bit.
"Hey (y/n)..." I looked over to my side to see Bakugo.
"Oh hey Katsuki," I smiled at him.
"Congratulations on your engagement." He sighed then sat down.
"Thank you, you tired too?" I asked with a giggle.
"Yeah, party's are stupid, but I guess it'll be the last one anyway." He chuckled.
"Haha, hopefully it's not, I still want to see everyone even after graduation, we all grown closer together after all these years, it'd be hard to let that all go. Especially me and you Katsuki, we used to hate each other's guts and now your like a brother to me!" I gave him a closed eyes smile and giggled.
"Yeah brother... I gotta go, I'll see you later (y/n)." He got up quickly and a bit disappointed which confused me, but I figured he was just tired and left it alone.
After Katsuki left, Shoto came and sat down next to me shortly after.
"What were you and Bakugo talking about?" He asked curiously.
"He was just saying congratulations." I simply answered.
"You really caught me by surprise today Shoto." I smiled while looking at the beautiful ring that fit perfectly around my finger.
"I was nervous the whole day." He chuckled scratching the back of his head.
"But, I am glad that were starting a new chapter in our life now." He gave me a peck on the cheek, and then put his arm around my shoulder, while I leaned into him.
"I'm tired." I yawned laying on his lap.
"Haha, you wanna go home?" He asked me while rubbing my head only making me more and more sleepy.
"No, I want to live these last moments at UA to the fullest. This is the last time." I tiredly smiled while sitting up from his lap.
"Alright love." Is all he said.
"Hey, are you two love birds going to come and dance or what?" Kirishima called out from the dance floor.
I looked over at Shoto and smiled taking his hand and dragging him with me to the dance floor. It was a fun night all together and I couldn't be more happier.
.....
The party was over and Shoto was walking me to my dads house. We were going to go apartment searching the next day. Some would say we're moving too fast in our relationship, but one thing I know is that we are soulmates. We were meant to be together no matter what.
Once Shoto dropped me off at home and gave me a long sweet kiss and hug, I walked inside to be met by my dad.
"My young Daughter, your growing up so fast." He said with tears in his eyes and came to hug me.
"I'm sorry dad, I know you were looking forward to spending more time with me." I gave him a sad look.
"No, no, (y/n) I'm the one who should have been there for you and your brother since birth. I apologize things could have been differ-"
"Dad, we already talked about this many times. It's okay, I forgive you." I smiled the best I could, even though this topic hurt me more than anything in the inside to the point where it would hurt my chest. I really missed my mother and my brother. I still can't get the thought of my brothers last look on his face before he died in front of me. I would never tell anyone, because I never wanted to think about it.
"Okay, young (y/n). I hate to cut our conversation short, but it's already 12 in the morning and I have to get up early, and you know me, I'm starting to get old." He let out a chuckle.
"Okay, you go to sleep then old man." I laughed at him as we said our final good nights, but I had other plans then going to sleep. There's one thing I been wanted to do since Shoto asked me to marry him.
I walked out the door and quickly made my way to the graveyard.
Once I got there I went to my brothers grave which was placed right next to my late mother as well.
"Hey (b/n) and mom. I know it's a little late, but I just had to tell you... Shoto proposed to me! I'm also continuing to take the hero course and be the great hero like you said I'd be (b/n)." I sadly smiled to myself with drops of tears coming down my face.
"I really wish you were here. It gets hard sometimes especially at night and when I'm alone. That's why I like staying with Shoto he keeps my mind off of things. Sometimes it gets hard to get over it." I said referring to the situation that happened years ago. I guess everyone thought I was getting better with everything that happened, but truth is it still eats me up from the inside. Nightmares of my brothers face at night, him yelling for me to help. It feels so real sometimes.
" I knew you'd be here." I was interrupted by a all too familiar voice from behind me.
"(F/n)?!" ( friends name.) I jumped up excited and immediately hugged her.
"Hey!" She laughed
"Let's go sit on the park bench not too far from here." She smiled at me and I smiled agreeing with her.
"You know (y/n), your never going to get over it if you constantly come back here." (F/n) said with a sad look.
"I'm sorry for everything that happened to you, but you need to stop living in the past now, and think about the future." She gave me a serious look.
"I know. But it's easier said then done, it's just, they were a huge piece in my life. I miss the old days sometimes." I sadly sighed.
"We all have something that we miss, but your engaged now, so you have a lovely life coming your way. But you just need to let go of the past." She always gave the best advice I swear, I really missed talking to her.
"For one, how did you know I was engaged?!" I asked her surprised.
"Did you forget what my quirk was? I knew you were going to get engaged before Shoto even thought about proposing to you." She laughed at me which made me laugh.
"I'm always watching you, to make sure everything will go good for you." She smiled at me brightly, and I started to tear up, simple words can just make you feel so happy and loved sometimes, even if it is just your friend talking to you.
"Thank you (f/n)."
