"What. The. Fuck," I whispered to myself.
We all stopped walking when we spot the scene in front of us.
Chester and Hope.
Chester and Hope making out.
Chester and Hope making out on the locker right next to mines.
I could feel everyone's gaze on me as I watched what was going on. I started to walk towards my locker, but Sky stopped me.
"Spence, you don't have to do this. I can just get your stuff for you," Sky says. I smile at her.
"No, it's ok. I know what to do."
Everyone in the hall was watching, but I didn't care because all I could see was red. I put on my best poker face and went to my locker.
As I got closer, the noises of them kissing got louder. I could practically hear the saliva in their mouths screaming for help.
It took me a few seconds to unlock my locker, but once I did, I made sure to open it wide, so it would hit Chester's head with a loud bang. I hear him groan in pain and they take a break from kissing.
"Fuck," Chester groans out, holding his head.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't see you there." I get my stuff out of my locker and shove Hope out of my way when I leave.
"You know, everyday, I see more and more of your cold heart," I hear someone chuckle from beside me. When I turn I see Alexander.
"No one is born cold hearted," I tell him.
"That was deep."
"I'll see you later. Gotta go to first period," I wave bye and race to class.
I take my usual seat as everyone files into the classroom. When Parker comes in, he looks kind of depressed.
"What's wrong, buddy?" Parker takes a little while to answer me.
"It's Jamie."
"What happened?" His usually cheerful eyes are now filled with sadness. Even his hair drooped down in a frown.
"When I dropped her off home yesterday, something looked off. She kept telling me everything was fine, but I could tell something was wrong. Even when I tried to kiss her goodnight, she moved away. And now, she's not in school today."
"Awww Parker, don't be sad. I know for a fact that Jamie likes you. You both are always bothering me about the other. Maybe she just didn't feel well."
That didn't seem to help Parker feel better.
"How about this? I'll ask the girls to come with me after school to visit Jamie, to see if she's ok."
"That would be awesome. I'll give you her address. Thank you so much." Parker grabbed me into a hug.
"No problem," I tell him, hugging him back.
"You know what I just realized?"
"What," I ask him, after we detach from each other.
"Your always helping everyone with their problems, but we never really know what's going on with you and what goes through your head."
He's right. When I'm going through something, I don't like other people to see it and I just use their problems as a distraction. It's a win-win situation.
"I just prefer to deal with other people's problems rather than dealing with my own."
"That makes sense, but I just want you to know that whenever you need to get something off your chest, I'm here." I just nod my head in response.
Because the people I have spilled my guts to, have broken my heart even more than it was before. That's probably my fault, though. I've just been spilling my heart out to the wrong people.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"Hey, you gonna eat that?"
"You can have it," I tell Danial as he stuffs his face with the school lunch. It was pretty disgusting.
Daniel, Parker, Alexander, Sky, Alexandra, and I were all sitting at a table together. Lily was with her new friends, Max was nowhere to be seen, and Hope and Chester were rumored to be making out outside on the bleachers.
I felt my phone vibrate on the table. When I pick it up, I see a group chat with Sky and Alexandra.
Sky: We should have a girls night out!
Alexandra: We're right next to you. Why didn't you just tell us out loud?
Sky: Because I didn't want the guys to know. Duhhhhh.
Spencer: Where would we go on a Tuesday?
Sky: I have the perfect spot. We can go anytime after school ends.
Spencer: Before we go, we have to go over to Jamie's house. She didn't come to school today and Parker was worried, so I promised him I would check up on her.
Alexandra: If she's ok when we see her, she can join us.
Sky: Then our plans are set. We'll go over to Jamie's after school and then go home to get ready. I'll pick everyone up after we're all done getting ready.
"What do you think their doing," I hear Daniel whisper to Parker.
"We can hear you, dumb ass," Alexandra tells her boyfriend.
"You have such a potty mouth," Daniel tells Alexandra and she responds with sticking out her tongue.
"We have to start heading to class," Alexander says, checking the time. We all throw away our trash and head to class.
