Chapter 38 - Change

Night appears in his quarters taking his armor and clothes off. "Well someone looks pissed." Angel Dust then flips a page of a book glancing at Night. "Always." Angel Dust then puts the book down crawls across the bed to Night as he sits on the bed. "You know, you've grown a lot over the years." Night then grabs Angel Dust's hand as it touches his shoulder. "How do you mean?" Angel Dust then hugs Night leaning on his shoulder. "For one, your powers have gotten to the point where you can basically do anything, two you are constantly trying to find ways to protect everyone and stop this war, and three you somehow find time to spend with the kids, which it's beyond me how you find the time." Night then leans his head against Angel Dust's and sighs. "No matter what I say or do this war keeps getting worse and worse." Night then puts his hand on his face and sighs again. "Sometimes I wonder if everything would be better if I didn't meet you guys." Angel Dust then squeeze's Night hugging him. "Don't say that, If it wasn't for you I would probably be dead, well deader than we are, come to think about it all of us would." Night then smiles and kisses Angel Dust on the cheek. "We do need to figure out how to change people back to demons besides using my blood, takes to long to process." Angel dust then kisses Night on the cheek. "You'll figure it out, you always find your way around the change." Night then stands up as Their kids run in the room tackling Night and Angel Dust. "Well someone is having some fun." Chuckles Night as his son jumps on his chest. "Daddy, why am I growing so quick?" Night then catches his son and sits up looking at his daughter noticing she's to big for the clothes he got last week. "I don't know, but whatever it is we will deal with it in the morning, cause it's bed time." Night then throws his son over his shoulder and leads his daughter to her room. "Don't worry honey we'll figure it out together." Night then looks at the ground with a concerned look as Angel dust has a tear roll down his cheek. "Change that's all it is."
