Chapter 8 - Contract Killer No Longer

Night and Angel appear in their room as Night takes the knife out of his side. "I'm gonna resign from contract killing." Night then takes his shirt off and puts it in the dirty clothes. "Why?" asks Angel changing out of the dress. Night then turns around unloading his pistol and looks up to see Angel half naked and he freezes. "Honestly, you, I want to make sure that your safe and not getting in harms way, I also have some loose ends to tie up with my past life." Night then turns around and grabs a towel and a change of clothes. "I'm gonna take a shower and wash this blood out of my fur." Night then walks into the bathroom and looks into the mirror. "Look at you old man, getting soft in your old age." Night then takes the rest of his clothes off and hops in the shower. "Why... Why can't I ever find someone without them getting attacked." Night then grabs a bottle of bourbon from the rack in the shower, and takes a swig letting the water run down the back of his neck. "I'm a fool to think I can be happy for once without anything happening." Night then feels multiple hands tracing scars on his back and arms. "You can be happy, ya just gotta protect what you got." Night turns around and faces Angel and Angel starts tracing three huge scares across Night's muscled chest. "I can give you more scares if you want." Night then leans into Angel and hugs him. "I'd rather hold on then do that." Angel then starts rubbing Night's wolf ears. "That works too." Night then looks Angel in the eyes. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Night then let's go of Angel and puts his face under the water. "I resigned from being a Contract killer." Angel's eyes widen. "I'm now the lead team leader for demon team delta 465." Angel looks at Night as water runs down his face. "I changed what I do, just so I could make sure and protect you from Valentino or Vox, or anybody that I may have pissed off." Night then steps out of the shower. "This world is a monster, everything bad that happens, it happens to the good people... and I believe you are one of those good people, just don't forget that someone in hell thinks your a good person."
