I spent the rest of the night in bed, Once I had settled Alfie and Aubrey to sleep. I guess I felt hopeless. When you meet your significant other parents you want them to like you, however, this feels like a chore. A chore that is not enjoyable. I laid down just staring into space overthinking, which is always a problem for me. I felt Leyton crawl into bed an hour later, his warmth on my body, and his arms instantly cradle me close. "I love you always, and forever" he whispers placing a light kiss on my head. I turn over and bury my head into his chest, his arms tighten around me caressing my back. I didn't have to say anything back, I just knew he was there for me.
Every day was a new day, but a day closer to our wedding, I was getting excited, the nerves would kick in on the day i knew it. We decided to have a party when we got home, which Kia kindly planned for us. Today was sorting the plane tickets out and the passports. Thankfully, Leyton being who he is, had a private plane so we didn't need to go through the necessary customs. I also felt better knowing the twins would be fine, there is nothing worse than feeling anxious when your children play up on a flight full of people. Leyton and I decided to fly out two weeks before just so we can get some time together as a family before the wedding, and well much-needed relaxation time.
"How are you today, Miss James?" Jane smiled as she made breakfast. "Im ok. thank-you." i smile feeding Alfie as Aubrey was asleep. I wasn't ok. but i couldn't let her know that. How can you be ok, when the woman in your partner's life prefers his ex to you. I always needed my mum but being so far away sucked, although i couldn't tell her anything about this, It wasn't her problem and i didn't want to worry her over this. I finished my errands for the day, before spending time playing with Alfie and Aubrey in the playroom. "Hiding away?" Meg!! what a surprise! "what are you doing here!!" i exclaimed jumping up and giving her the biggest cuddle. "Leyton called, he said you needed some girl time ... and i wanted to see my two favourite human beings" she beamed a smile as she went to sit down next to them cradling them into an embrace. "He worries, im fine, just a tired mum of twins" i sighed. "Now, we have known each other too long, April. What's wrong?" she asked. I told her everything, much to her amusement. "Prilly, Leyton thinks the absolute world of you, anyone can see that! you and these two are his world, he even told his own mother not to come to the wedding if she doesn't like you ... if that doesn't show you then i don't know what will!" She had a point. "I know, i love him. But how can i impress someone who doesn't like me? or want me to be with her son" i sighed. "Don't. you do not need to impress anyone but yourself, so what she doesn't accept you!, you are not here to please her. you have a beautiful family, you are about to become the most beautiful bride, and marry your one true love, now please breath, smile and get excited!" I hated it when she was right, But she was. She had a point. We spent the next five hours together, laughing, eating, drinking in moderation of course, and walking the twins in their pram. It was surprising how much one person can change your persona on your day.
She was right, it was time to start getting excited for the wedding, it was in a month.

The time flew by, we was flying out today. we get married in two weeks. I was becoming a wife.
"Passports, tickets, cases, and children?" "we have everything, baby please relax." We walked out to the car and drove to the plane. it was a beautiful jet, there was car seats already installed. champagne on arrival, this was the life you see in movies and reality shows, not my life.
"are you ready to become Mrs Stevens?" he holds my hand to his chest. "I was born ready" i whisper.
