Chapter 33 - Andrew

It was a crazy idea to bring Erica to the hospital with me. It was even more insane idea to ask her for patient care. She is a wild one. Just like horses. She also has a nice, caring side, but she is basically wild. No sugarcoating, no kindness for the soul. She is like nature itself. The horses like her, but what about Jazz? We don't really know Tyler's recruit, we didn't have enough time to know her. I consulted with my southern colleague about her, and Dr. Hillard said, that Jazz was always a though one, despite the nervous breakdown. So it is up to her. Sooner or later she has to meet all of us after all.

Heather would have been a better choice for the first helper, but I brought Erica to the store, and there was no meaning to go back home. Tyler was tired. At least that's what his message was about. But being close to his newlywed wife… well… I think this fake marriage will be a real one soon. At least the scene, which we witness indicates this. Those two are immersed in kissing. Uncomfortable to me, because I have already convinced the raging Erica, that those two are tired, and terrified. I am hiding, of course, as soon as I can do it unnoticed by Erica. I am a coward one.

I am aware, that I get some slaps later for leaving her alone in that situation, but this time it has been the best solution. To me. Erica is fortunately dealing with the two lovebirds, and Tyler soon comes out to the corridor. He leans against the wall, and breathe deeply.

"Are you all right?" I step to him, and see, that this question is unnecessary. "You should find a woman soon, if things go on. This kind of activity is forbidden for Jazz for six weeks." I smirk at him.

"Would you mind not pestering? This is very unpleasant anyway."

Poor guy! It seems he managed falling in love in mere three days. Good performance. Falling out of love from his previous wife, and falling in with love with his present wife. Although, it is also true that love always comes suddenly, but his speed is remarkable.

"Here you are!" I give him a bottle of ice cold water. "When you are capable, go to the doctor of Jazz, and ask him, whether we could bring her home for the weekend. I have to go back to the girls, before Erica eats Jazz."

I leave the young husband suffering from love torments and see what Erica has gotten with the couple's female half. From the rather one-sided conversation heard in the bathroom, it becomes clear that Erica is unable to talk off the pajamas from Jazz. The tone of Erica's voice is similar, what she is using for talking to frightened animals.

"Would you feel better if I undressed too?" She asks jokingly laughing.

She get some grueling for answer.

"Hey, woman! What are you planning? Jazz taking a shower, or some strange orgy?" I ask them playfully, as I step into the small bathroom.

I was wrong. Jazz is looking more frightened. Erica isn't in a very good mood either, she looks like she wants to sniff me apart to suck the meat off all my bones one by one. In vain, she's just such a savage.

"Sorry. I didn't want to scare you, neither my wife."

"Wife?" Jazz stutters.

"Yes, that idiot over there, is my husband." Erica points to me.

"Ah...Okay." Jazz's slightly confused expression suggests that Tyler hadn't told her too much about the family.

"Did she abuse you?" I ask her, and at that very moment Erica turns into a fury.

"I. Don't. Abuse. Little. Girls." She is hissing into my eyes, and poking my chest with her index finger with every word. But the usage of her words makes me alarm.

"Jazz is not a little girl. She is a married woman."

"She is a Little Girl." Erica snarls charmingly. She can, she has her back to Jazz, who can't see her expression that way.

But she confirmed, and I have to understand. This situation is dangerous for more than one person.

"Do you want a nurse to help you?" I ask the girl, who is sitting on the closed top of the toilet.

"I want to do this alone! Get out!!!" She screams with pain. Erica turns back to her.

"You can't do this alone. Your are still very weak from the operation… Why are you crying?" My wife gets also frustrated.

She is using the reassuring tone, and trying her best to soothe the girl, and she fails continuously.

"Please accept the help of Erica, because your pajamas need to be washed. Tyler could bring with him, and in the evening Dame could bring back to you. So I wait for them outside."

Erica manages to derail her soaked pajamas from Jazz, but the girl's crying doesn't subside. Tyler comes back, so I press the girl's stuff and car keys into his hands and lead him out of the room.

I'm bringing back a hospital nightgown from the nurses to Jazz. She and Erica still haven't reached an agreement on the shower.

"Okay, I won't see you. Just turn your back toward me. Tell me, if my washing is too hard on you. I am accustomed to washing horses. Don't collapse! Okay, stand on your feet! Good girl! Can you sing? I also don't really know any of the latest hits. You know the Old McDonald, don't you? Everybody knows. Let's sing it! Old McDonald had a farm..."

Well, Erica may be a bit of a violent type, but she understands the terrified animals very much. She did not learn, natural talent in this field. She can also cope with terrified little kids who are brought for the first time to ride. She has also found the way to soothe the nerves of the latest kid. When you are singing, the part of the brain, which is responsible for the fear isn't available. So the girls are singing, the water is running, but the farm is limited to horses, cats and dogs. It doesn't matter for them, they start over.

"Andrew!" Erica cries, which makes me hurry to the bathroom.

Jazz is exhausted from taking a shower, and she is catching air in Erica's arms.

"What a touching scene! This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!" I'm at the forefront, but Erica doesn't appreciate my humor, and Jazz is also busy with breathing.

I scoop her up, and carry her back to the bed. Erica starts to dry the girl's hair, and I go out to the nurses, to ask them changing the girl's damp bandage. While they are doing that, I and Erica go out to the hall.

"You were doing good!" I say.

"Good? Not excellent?" She smirks at me. "Where's my reward?"

"Just good and you have already got your reward."

"True."

Her tone scares me a bit.

"What did you do to her?"

"Nothing. Really! I just washed her. But washing a Little Girl is somewhat exciting. Especially since I couldn't look at her from the front either, I could only grope while washing."

Her use of the word is upsetting me again.

"Did you make sure, that Jazz is still a Little Girl?"

"No." She says, but my expression makes her to verify her previous words. "Trust me. The temptation was big, but I didn't do anything to her, which was not necessary. From her behavior, I know. I am sure."

"Don't talk with her what couples usually do on their wedding night, okay?"

"Okay, I leave this talk to you." Her smile is very luscious, imagining how I will be so embarrassed doing that. Unfortunately she is right. "You are a doctor after all."

"Nowadays, teenager knows more about having sex, than we, the older generation."

"Older? OLDER?! She is only 8 years younger than me. It is not that a big gap!"

"In this case you don't have to ask her tips for making love."

"Then what should I talk to her about?"

"I saw cards in the vending machine."

I don't even finish the sentence when Erica run away from me to the vending machine. Playing cards is her weakness. I said weakness? She is very good in card games. None of us could have ever won a single match against her. Maybe Jazz could play with her a bit, and win. The nurses finish their job, Jazz is sitting in the bed, fresh and clean.

By the time the nurses leave the room, Erica returns with a pack of rummy cards in her hand. She is shining from happiness, that she could find a proper player.

"I am sorry. I don't know how to play with cards." Jazz says regretting.

"Not even a little bit?" asks Erica disappointed.

"In childhood, with cards with fairy tale figures. But I don't know how to play poker."

"Poker?"

"That is a poker card, isn't that?"

"At least you recognize the cards." Erica sighs, losing all her hopes.
