Chapter 26 - Chapter 26

Three weeks later, I was at Bonnie's doorstep, bookbag in hand. I knocked on the door, before hearing a, "Come in! The door's unlocked!" I open the door, to smell sweet an savory foods at the same time. "Who does that?!"~ I guess Bonnie does.

I shut the door behind me, setting my bookbag down and taking off my shoes before walking into the kitchen. "Hey Bonnie. Where's Donald?" I question, and she laughs, turning around to hug me. "He's going back to the store, because he forgot the peas." I look at her strangely, before gesturing to the pot.

"My home-made Pot Pie. My own recipe." She says proudly. I nod, swiftly moving past the kitchen and into the bathroom to wash my hands. "You know, I like them."~ Same, but we know all good things must come to an end. I turn off the faucet, before shaking my hands dry. Opening the door, I walk back into the kitchen, right as Donald walks in, a small bag of peas in his hand.

He looks at me, before pointing to Bonnie, doing the crazy thing with his head. I laugh, and Bonnie looks between us, skeptical. "Am I missing out on something?" She asks, and me and Donald shake our heads. She hums, before pouring the white, souping mixture into the pie crust.

She places the pie into the oven, before looking at me. "so how was the library?" She asks, as I shrug, snatching a piece of chicken, to which she bats my hand away playfully. "It was cool. I had to learn how to multiply to variable fractions, which was totally fun." I say, as Donald laughs, placing the peas on the counter.

"What's up with that, anyway? Do they teach you how to pay your taxes?" Donald asks, as I shake my head, plopping the piece of chicken into my mouth. "Then I say, drop out." Donald explains, at Bonnie gives him a glare. "Ignore him. If you want to, you can go to a lot of different colleges." Donald waves her off, only to walk out of the kitchen, most likely to take off his shoes. "Do you know what college your going to?" Bonnie asks, as I sigh, not really knowing what to say.

"Well, out of state colleges are less expensive. I've always loved writing, so probably ones with a writing major." I explain, and she hums, totally understanding. "What about soccer. I thought you wanted to do that." She questions, leaning on one of the counters, waiting for me to answer.

"Soccer's also good. I mostly did stuff because my parents wanted me to, but soccer is really fun. But do I really want it to be my job?" I think, shaking my head in the end. Bonnie stayed quiet, probably contemplating it. "It's ok if you don't know what you want to do. You still have two more years. Three if you count this one. Keep playing soccer. If you like it enough, you'll know." She explains, and I nod my head.

I thank her, before walking out of the kitchen, going up the steps and into my room. I see Thomas, knocked out on the bed, his computer open and notes out. I laugh, walking over to the bed, and shutting the laptop moving it to the night stand. I then move his notes and pencils, placing it on top of the laptop.

I gently move the covers away from him, before lightly placing them on top of him. "Hi." He says simply, turning himself so he can face me. "Hi." I say, smiling at him. He looks at the laptop, trying to reach for it, but I cut him off, moving his hand away from the electronic.

"No, Park I have an essay due in like, two hours. I need to finish it." Thomas explains, sitting up to rub his eyes. "The essay can wait. You need sleep, so go to sleep." Thomas sighs, rolling his eyes, before laying back down. "You are the worst person ever." He mumbles, only to smile at me.

"I know I am, now go to sleep. I'll wake you up for dinner." I say, watching as he nods slowly, laying his head onto the pillow. I straighten up, quietly walking out of the room, closing the door soundlessly. As I walk downstairs, I hear to girl voices, one notably being Bonnie, and the others, I can't tell. I walk down the rest of the steps, turning the corner into the kitchen.

There stood Sara, green and red cheer outfit still in tacked. She looks at me, and storms over, giving me a big hug. "I hate you so much for not telling me." She states, still hugging me. I look at Bonnie and she shrugs. I hug her back, smelling her citrus shampoo. She lets go of me, and punches me in the chest.

I hiss, watching as she glared at me. "Why didn't you tell me asshole!" She didn't look mad for say, just disappointed that I didn't tell her. "To be honest, it happened in like two hours." She glares at me, before sighing, leaning her head to the ground.

"So, you know it would have been helpful if you just, told me. Texted me, called me, hey even send me a gif. Everyone thought you were dead. Your parents didn't say shit about you, even JJ got worried!" I anxiously combed my hand though my hair, shifting my weight form one foot to another.

"I'm sorry. I really am. I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys anything. I really should have." I say, as she nods her head, accepting my apology. "When are you coming back to Tucson?" "Uh, in like, two weeks." She nods her head, moving her hands up to take out her cheer bow.

"So, your with Thomas now, huh?" She says, a smirk on her face. "Yeah, I am." I say, as she let's out a high squeal. "I knew it! Starla and I were considering some stuff, and Thomas looked pretty fishy, to me. So we followed him here, got the address, and I came back today. There was no way Thomas could live here and still be in the school district. And I was right!" She says, doing her happy dance, smile on her face.

When she finally stops dancing, she grabs my hand, forcing my fingers open, before placing the bow on my hand. I look at her curiously, and she smiles. "To remember us, all of us." She says, as I laugh at her. "Geez, I'm only going to be gone for two more weeks." I explain, as she laughs, shaking her head.

"Yeah, but when you get back, the cheer squad is going to be gone for week for comp. And also, we miss our favorite soccer player." She says, punching my shoulder lightly. I roll my eyes, I look at the green and red bow, cute patches from her previous competitions on it. I look up at her, smiling.

"So, Jonathan's not your favorite?" She rolls her eyes, before kissing me on the cheek. "I have to go. Bye loser." She says, waving at Bonnie before leaving.
