Dean
After having a long afternoon filled with having to deal with Tina's antics and what seemed to be very long sessions; Dean finally made his way to his dorm room wanting to shift off and lay in bed to process what happened during lunch.
Unfortunately, the gods weren't on Dean's side, standing outside his dorm room were Jake, Ty, and Sam. Jake leaning against the door frame and both Ty and Sam were opposite him leaning on the opposing wall of the hallway.
Jake being Jake was the first to see Dean, "So there is the legend," he started fanning Dean with both his hands.
"What the hell are you talking about?"
Ty spoke up next, "You, my friend are a legend because not only did Alison perform in front of our class a few days after you arrived but you also had lunch with HER AND HER BROTHER."
Sam quickly gave his input, " THE BROTHER that intimidates everyone including the TEACHERS! How did you face him?"
Ty continued his rant, "He is very protective of Alison, I mean do you know how many times he has gone off on Professor Smoak? He never lets anyone near Alison when he is around yet he walks up to you and invites you to have lunch with them. You are officially a legend my dear friend."
"So now legend, you have to tell us the secret to not being murdered by Alison Walker's older brother." Jake jokingly demanded.
"How about we go inside and talk there?"
"Sure."
"Fine."
"Whatever," were the respective replies of Jake, Ty, and Sam.
Jake shrugged and got out of Dean's way then patiently waited for Dean to open the door and let them in. After doing so Dean walked in and shut the door behind him.
"Enough of the suspense. What did you do that warranted Alison's brother inviting you to eat lunch with them?"
"Rushing to her aid apparently."
"How did he know about that though? Did Alison tell him?"
"She doesn't seem like the type to make such a big deal about someone helping her."
"Professor Smoak was the one how shared that detail with her family actually. She wasn't happy about me eating with them it was quite awkward."
"Awkward, we walked into the cafe to see her get up from the table and practically drag her brother out. What was that about?"
"Um well, he invited me over for dinner on their father's behalf."
"What did I say LEGEND."
"I'm not a legend, it's just complicated. I for sure didn't expect any of this to happen."
"That's what makes you a legend, my dear sweet boy you are too humble."
"Yes, now when exactly are you going for dinner?"
"Friday night."
"Nice, guess you gonna get to go to one of the really nice restaurants in town."
"I'm actually going to their house for dinner."
"Damn."
"I'm so proud."
"Living Legend," were the respective replies of Jake, Sam, and Ty.
"Whatever you guys act like I'm going to a different planet or a celebrity's house."
"You kinda are being that Alison's mother was a famous singer."
"Was?"
"Her mother passed away a couple of years ago."
"Oh"
"Yeah, but anywho no one in school actually knows where she lives all we know is that she doesn't live in the area."
"Hmm."
"Yeah, quite the mystery isn't it."
"True but there isn't much we can do now. Want to play on my PS4?"
"Hell yeah!" the three boys chorused and Dean couldn't help but sigh in relief because he didn't want to reveal to them that he would be gone overnight.
But he then also understood why Alex invited him to stay the night, if they didn't live in the area it must be a long drive. Making it safer and more logical for them to spend the night.
As he drowned out the sounds of the competitive shouting of his friends he couldn't help but think about his dilemma because if her brother was so intimidating what would her father belike?
Would he be grateful like Alex? Or would be furious that Dean touched Alison like any sane overprotective father would be?
Sighing he shook his head knowing that it would be pointless to worry so soon, seeing that he had four days until he would meet the father of the Walker siblings. He couldn't help but hope that they didn't inherit their intimidating glares and temper from him. For, if they did he was in for an interesting dinner.
After the guys left Dean took a shower then called it a night hoping that the rest of his week would be less stressful.
*beep, beep, beep*
Groaning Dean got out of bed and got ready for the day seeing that he had class and as he was getting ready an idea struck him.
Seeing that Professor Smoak was the one who informed the Walker family of his existence he had the right to ask why.
With such motive, he quickly ran out of his dorm room hoping to bump into said professor before he had to go to his morning session.
After rushing to the class building he quickly rushed to the wing his classes were in. After checking Professor Smoak's classroom and finding it empty Dean then made his way towards the faculty lounge, hoping to overhear something that would hint at the location of Professor Smoak.
Luckily, he was standing outside the faculty lounge on a call. Dean decided to wait for the call to end before questioning his professor and leaned against the wall of the hallway.
"Of course Leo I would be glad to attend, though I must ask does Alison know that you have invited me?
Oh, I see. Of course, then I will do what I can to ensure that they both attend.
Anytime old friend."
Wondering what or who Professor Smoak was talking to, Dean knew it wasn't his place to ask so instead he cleared his throat and gained the attention of his professor.
"Good morning Professor Smoak, if you have time there is something I would like to talk to you about."
"Good morning Mr. Ozeata, and sure go ahead."
"Why did you tell the Walkers that I helped Alison? If you don't mind my asking."
"Well, Dean seeing that it was the first time in years that Alison had performed in front of a crowd I knew her father and brother would have loved to see her singing. So I was recording her performance on my phone and I caught you rushing to her aid on the very end of the video before I myself rushed to direct you."
"And you couldn't have cropped out that part?"
"I don't understand, why would you have wanted me to cut out you helping her?"
"Because Alison isn't the friendly type and I don't think she appreciated it and I surely didn't expect the events that followed."
"Alison is I bit closed off, she is grateful but she doesn't like attention and that is what's causing her to be upset. And oh yes, the dinner! I will definitely see you there Friday night."
"You will be there too?"
"Well yes, seeing that I was just invited. I look forward to seeing you in class Dean but if I were you I'd start heading to your morning session before you are late."
Sighing Dean saluted and walked away thinking about the complication this has turned out to be, and knowing Alison she would be furious. Dean was also confident that she would approach him sometime before the dinner and try to persuade him to cancel.
He swore that he would see it through because more and more he was learning about Alison Walker and he wanted to meet the girl behind the glares and feisty attitude.
