Squatting low near a cliff, I looked towards the camp bellow us. A bonfire was going as a group of 6 sat around laughing drunkenly. They where probably celebrating over their success over the last team that came by.
Turning to my left, I grabbed Neji's attention before putting my finger on my temple. Immediately understanding what I wanted, he activated his byakugan and scanned over the camp. Once he was done with that action, he put up the number 20.
I immediately began to weave some sign language. 'How many of those 20 are active?' He answered back just as fast. '6 drunk, 4 asleep, 8 watching from the dark, and the other 2..... are tied up....'
TenTen who was beside us let out a quiet hiss through her teeth. The team who tried this mission before us was a team full of kunoichi. The indication of them being tied up is not a good one.
I started to weave signs again. 'Can you draw us a layout of the camp with the location of the other bandits?'
After a few minutes, a simple looking map was drawn into the dirt with a stick. 6 stood around the campfire with their backs facing the simple wood wall they had built around their camp. The other 2 where gathered in the tent with the kunoichi.
Looking up from the map, I turned towards the tent in the camp and let out a sigh. The 6 on guard are guarding their backs well. The 6 drunks are bait while the kunoichi are with the other 2 bandits.
TenTen who was on my side poked me in my arm drawing my attention. Taking a deep breath herself, she calmly began to make signs. 'What's the plan?'
Gazing over the camp for a minute, I subconsciously let out a smile. 'Let me save the kunoichi myself. I'm fast enough to get in and out without them noticing.' My gaze then moved towards the bonfire.
'TenTen, I want you to stay with Neji. Once Neji sees me leave, throw one of the scrolls filled with explosive tags over the camp.'
I then made sure to look between the two of them and see if they agreed. Guy Sensei wasn't here due to another mission near ours. Since there was two available, he gave us the easier one and took the harder one.
Seeing as my team agreed, I waited for Neji to activate his byakugan and TenTen to prepare the scroll. Once that was done, I used Soru and silently landed near the flaps of the tent. Standing still, I listened to see if anything was near me.
My expression however immediately became sour as I heard the sounds of quiet sobbing and rough grunts come from the tent. Quietly edging my way to the tent, I began to open up the flaps slowly to avoid any sound.
But I immediately threw that idea out the window once I saw what was happening. The bandits where on top of the kunoichi with a kunai in their hands. They rocked back and forth over the kunoichi who had many cuts on their bodies. I even saw one begin to slowly move their kunai across the kunoichi's skin while in ecstasy.
Having enough, I grabbed the neck of the two bandits and let out a tight squeeze. I even let out a soft smile as I heard and felt their neck snap and their bodies go limp. Quietly, I used my hands which where still on their necks to quietly pull them off the kunoichi.
Once that was done, I made sure to avoid my gaze falling on the many gashes and cuts on the kunochi's body. Some of them would scar even with the use of medical ninjutsu. Avoiding the gag in their mouth and the rope around their wrists, I slung them over my shoulders and Soru'd out of the camp.
When I got far enough, I set them down quietly as a large flash of light came from behind me. The sound of the explosion then made it to our ears making the kunoichi weakly flinch. I began to quietly work on their bindings as I knew my team could deal with the rest. Without the kunoichi, TenTen could freely use the confusion caused by the explosion to rain her numerous weapons on the camp bellow.
Neji could also take care of any stragglers trying to escape. Once the bindings where off, I looked at her wrists for a short second before taking out their gag. The skin on their wrists where rubbed off and would definitely scar up when treated.
"We're done." Neji's voice calmly stated from behind as two cloaks landed on top of the kunoichi who where silently shaking. They where too busy sobbing to speak. "Everyone in the camp is dead, it's time to go before anyone else comes."
TenTen who was standing near Neji just nodded as she looked at the kunoichi with a complicated expression. I'll be sure to take her out for some food after this. Be best to let her relax and vent for a bit before taking another mission.
Picking up one of the kunoichi, I left the other for Neji before we all left for the location Guy wanted to meet at. Once we arrived, we immediately ran into our Sensei. It seemed he didn't have many issues with his assignment.
And after a quick debrief of how everything went, we began to leave for the Village. No one wanted to poke at the sensitive matter which was the kunoichi so we stayed silent the whole way back.

(The very next morning after arriving at the Leaf)

Waking up, I walked into my kitchen and looked at the workout plan I planned for today. Today was leg day but I had issues to resolve. One of those issues was if TenTen would be alright after this mission.
So I decided that today would be my off day. I quickly rearranged my training schedule before turning on the stove. And while the pan was heating up, I threw some butter in to melt while I got some eggs out of the mini-fridge.
Once the butter was melted, I cracked two eggs on a flat surface and let the yolk fall into the pan. I used a big wooden spoon to scramble up the yolk until it was cooked before dumping it onto a plate. Salt is expensive in this world so I haven't really used it much.
When I was done eating, I rinsed everything off and left my apartment. I walked around the complex for a bit and arrived at the back. Once there, I saw that my ankle, wrist, and vest weights where all still on the ground. As they are extremely heavy, I can't really keep them inside since it would probably break through the floor if I dropped them on accident.
Their weight is also a deterrent for thieves. I've seen a few people try and pick up a weight or two and fail miserably. Sometimes when I'm bored, I would put them out in the middle of the shopping district and play a game with the locals. I've actually made Ryo off of the thing too.
Once I put my wrist and ankle weights on, I walked around the village silently. After a little while of walking and looking at what the locals where doing, I arrived at a smithy.
The name of the building and business was funnily enough 'TenTen'. TenTen's father was a blacksmith who loved to dote on her. It's one of the many reasons why she has so many weapons in the first place. Her mother is also a retired Jonin with some achievements from the last war.
Walking into the smithy, I looked around and saw many familiar ninja tools on display. TenTen and I studied weapons together for a bit so I would be a bit more versatile if things grew desperate. Cutting things in half is pretty cool if I saw so myself, but I like the feeling of breaking bones with my fists better.
Making my way around the counter with no one behind it, I softly knocked on the wall near where the blacksmith who was working tirelessly. "One minute!"
After a few minutes more minutes, TenTen's father walked out from the back to the store. He was very tall and muscular and had a stubble. His eyes held some bags under them.
"Did you even get any sleep last night?" I asked as he let out a yawn. "Guess not."
Looking at me, he put his large hands on the counter and took a seat. "Lee." He said in a tired but straight to it manner. "What are you here for?"
"Your daughter" I said with a serious tone causing him to go silent. "Come again?"
"I'm here to take your daughter out for food." I said with the same serious tone causing him to slowly get up. And with a serious expression, he went into the back of the smithy.
When he came out, he held an extremely large hammer in his hand. Sitting down, he put in on the table before looking at me with a silent smile. "Sorry, I'm afraid my hearing isn't working well these days. Mind saying that again? But slower?"
"I came to speak to TenTen. You know where she is?" I asked causing him to lean forward towards me with hand on hammer. "And?"
"I need to talk to her about that night." I said cryptically causing him to freeze up and tighten his grip on the hammer. "What night?"
"Our mission of course." I said flatly causing him to let out a relieved sigh. "Oh thank Hashirama."
Sitting up once again, he made a deep frown. "Personally, I don't know. She didn't come home last night." He then nervously fidgeted with his hammer and began to mutter. "Did she perhaps go to a boys house? Is she growing up? Maybe she was kidnapped?"
Sitting back, I just enjoyed the constant muttering of the father for a few more moments before getting up. "I think I know where she is. Thank you for speaking with me Mr. Ten."
"Yeah, Yeah, your welcome." He muttered while staring at this hammer. "Is it a boy? I'll be sure to ask her later. Wait no... would she even answer? I'll just go make more weapons and think later."
....
Arriving at some training grounds, I looked around the place and let out a long sigh.
"Yup, TenTen is definitely here."
Many weapons where stuck in the ground and trees. There where even craters formed from an explosive tag or two.
Looking through the war zone of weapons, my eyes landed on a sleeping TenTen. 'She's asleep. This isn't going to be good.'
Being smart, I distanced myself as far as possible before throwing a kunai towards one of the weapons near her. When the two weapons clashed, a sound echoed out causing TenTen to open her eyes instantly. She then grabbed a scroll and began to throw a literal tsunami of weapons towards me in reflex.
Using Soru, I got out of the way as the many weapons flew by my last location and began to break trees and stone apart. Seeing the destruction, I looked at TenTen with a tight frown. Seeing that it was me, she looked at all the weapons embedded around herself and let out a nervous chuckle. She realized that we would have to clean it all up together due to a weapons law the Hokage made especially for her.
"Oh hey Lee. Nice day is it?"
