It was sunset.
Jiang Yun Yao and the buns were truly satisfied after playing for the whole day. The buns were tired but their eyes were full of happiness.
Jiang Yun Yao carried the buns to the parking lot quickly, placed them on passenger seats, and fastened their seatbelts. When she saw them yawning she thought.'They are tired'
She was about to get into the car when she heard her name.
"Jiang Yun Yao!"
Instinctively she turned around and saw someone familiar. She was stupified.
It was the alpha male she met at the hotel.
Then, her confusion turned into suspicion as she frowned. 'Did this man investigate me?' It was very clear that the man didn't know her when she met him last time. It wasn't that she thinks highly of herself - she was an A-list actress that people would recognize immediately when they saw her unless she disguised herself. Now, the man was calling her? What did he want?
The man put his hands in his pants pocket as he strode towards Jiang Yun Yao. His expression was cold and indifferent. His posture was noble and elegant, showing that he was a high breed. If it was in other situations, Jiang Yun Yao would probably bare her fangs to tease the man. But, she wasn't in the mood to do so.
Jiang Yun Yao was vigilant. Her body tensed when she saw the man walked over. She looked around and sighed in relief. Fortunately, the parking lot was desolate, near the mini forest that not many people would visit when it was sunset. If the man did something detrimental to her, she could just beat him up.
She smiled politely as she said, "May I know who you are?"
The man stopped right in front of her. All of sudden, he stretched his hand, "I'm Yun Shengrui."
Jiang Yun Yao looked at his hand and reached it. She shook his hand briefly as she introduced herself, "Jiang Yun Yao."
She retracted her hand and asked, "What can I do for you, Mr. Yun?"
Yun Shengrui frowned when he saw how polite Jiang Yun Yao was. Was she like other women who tried to seduce him? They would act bashfully in front of him yet, behind their smiles, insidious thoughts laid.
"Are you free this weekend?"
The moment Jiang Yun Yao heard what he said, she was speechless. Was he like the men who tried to hit on her? Jiang Yun Yao didn't know that her thought was similar to Yang Shengrui's. If she knew, she would probably bang her head on the tree nearby. She relaxed a little as she said, "Unfortunately, I'm not free this weekend. I have something to do"
Yun Shengrui frowned. He didn't speak anymore. There was only silence.
Then, Yun Shengrui glanced at Jiang Yun Yao coldly. "Have we met before?"
His question was ridiculous. Jiang Yun Yao laughed inwardly. If his first question made her wonder whether he was really trying to hit on her, then, this question affirmed her conjecture.
"You must be wrong Mr. Yun. If we had met somewhere before, I would have remembered because I can't be able to forget a fine man like you. I'm going now." Without giving him an extra glance, Jiang Yun Yao got into the car, started the engine, and drove away.
It wasn't that she wanted to reject a fine man like him. Instead, she unconsciously wanted to be near him. It was very strange for her to feel this way. She knew clearly that it wasn't love. It was just her instinct, her subconscious thought. She felt as if she had known him for long. But, the man was too dangerous. She wanted to stay away from him for the time being, at least until she could confirm what she was actually feeling.
Yun Shengrui stared at the car that was slowly disappearing from his sight with dissatisfaction. He fished out his phone from his pocket, calling his secretary. "Keep monitoring her."
…
Jiang Yun Yao sighed in relief after she arrived at the house.
After bathing the buns, she tucked them into bed to sleep. She sang them rhymes and read children's stories.
The buns finally fell asleep. Jiang Yun Yao looked at her phone. It was only eight at night. She slowly got up from the bed and went into her study room.
Her study room was elegant yet looked so dark. Everything inside it was either gray or black. There was no tinge of femininity.
She walked to the desk near the window. She turned on the computer. She connected it to the internet and typed 'Yan Shengrui'.
Many results came up, varying from business to entertainment that related to him. It was either about his business deals or his romance encounters with some well-known figures.
She frowned when she read about his romantic rendezvous with the heiress from one of the most powerful family.
The heiress was someone she knew – her nemesis.
