Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

The tunnels

She stared through the gap in the wall, holding her breath as soldiers stormed the room, and the maid that had brought her there was trembling crocodile tears filled her hazel eyes. What was going on and who exactly was this woman? was this supposed to be a setup? Whatever it was it didn't matter what's most important is to get out of here without being caught which means that her only option at this point is to go further in and hope for the best. She took one last look at the room muttering a quick "sorry" before continuing down the tunnel. Both her hands were planted on the stone wall acting as her guide seeing as it was pitch black, she dragged her feet as well moving slowly she kept up at this pace moving along until she saw a small crack down the line she quickened her pace toward that crack the light it was giving of was a surprising amount of light. She peeked through the crack and saw her father sitting in a chair rubbing his temples. A knock echoed and in walked a stunning young lady that looked an awful lot like her father's second wife she's a part of the fairy folk, therefore, she was naturally petite as was this girl, she had wavy shoulder-length hair which was an unusual color violet and she held gentle jade eyes with a smile on her face and yet the smile didn't reach her eyes. She reminded her of a meerkat they seem so sweet and yet are so dangerous and that was what scared her.

She listened to the conversation happening between the two and quite frankly, she was surprised the young lady suggested that "they take care of her" she said it the same way the maid would when she was sent to those rooms while her father would rather she stay to tie up his loose ends she choked back her tears and as she made a silent promise to herself and continued making her way through the tunnels stopping now and again discovering the many entries to different parts of her home before finding her way back to her little corner of home; exhausted she collapsed onto the hard ground curled up into a ball facing the wall
