Chapter 6 - The milk hasn't been spilt yet

Bella's mind kept spinning all the way to her room. She needed a plan. A really good one. And she needed it real quick.

Why is her brain failing her now? She quickly blamed it on the proximity between her and Lexus.

He kicked her door open with his expensive shoes. He strided towards her bed and placed her on it. She put her hand on her face and faked wiping off a nonexistent tear from the corner of her eye while stalling for time to think up something. Anything.

Tsk.

Damn you brain.

If it was when I needed to do something bad you'd quickly give me a thousand ideas.

"Are you okay?" his rich baritone voice asked cutting short the slew of colorful words she was about to unleash on her brain.

She gulped feeling the familiar heat creep to her cheeks when she heard his voice. She glued her hands there and her eyes shut.

Everything she did to him came back all at once. Hurling theirselves at her like a tornado. She mumbled a "yes"

"Are you sure?" he pressed.

She remembered how caring he could be and one traitorous liquid swam down to her chin. She was grateful that he probably couldn't see it because of her hands that were cupping her face.

"Mm hm" she let out weakly.

The flashbacks she was having was terrible to say the least. Then she remembered one particularly nasty event, where she ruined his mom's birthday.

He and his entire Queen family had gone to her tomb. Lexus bought a piece of land just for her. Then he transferred her coffin to it.

The entire place was filled with all her favorite flowers. It was beautiful. But Bella razed it to the ground. Burnt it.

Ian Queen would've killed her, everyone was sure of it with the fire that had burned in his brown pools. But Lexus had stepped in and got disowned. Yet even after everything she left him. She's such an idiot.

She burst out crying not able to take it anymore. Her blatant stupidity had caused a lot of problems for him, including making him lose his hard earned company to Alan.

Why was she so stupid to believe Cassie Thorne? That witch.

Lexus froze for a moment before wrapping his arms around her. His biceps squeezing her a little bit too much.

But she didn't complain because he smelt a lot like the home she ran away from. She felt comfort in his arms.

"Bella—sorry Miss King?" he corrected himself in time hoping she won't lash out at him.

But his blunder only made her fountain of tears increase. She had insisted that he call her Miss King because she wanted nothing to do with him. He had done everything right and she was so wrong.

Lexus held the crying female in his hands already making mental notes to have a "talk" with whoever put her in this state.

He was happy that she was caring about his existence now. He knew the pain of having someone in your heart but now being able to have them in your arms.

So he was going to enjoy this little "Lella" time as much as possible. Yes, he gave them a couple nickname. How could he not? When he was their biggest fan as well as the number one person rooting for them. He's crazy, he knows.

After ten minutes she calmed down. She wasn't one to cry so much over spilt milk anyways. Plus....the milk hasn't been spilt yet.

The only option for her at this moment was to keep making herself happy. After all happiness isn't a feeling its a choice.

And she chose not to be happy with Lexus. She just has to change that.

"What's wrong?" he asked when he noticed her eyes turning to different shades while he was watching her.

He didn't need to worry about what's wrong. That was her problem to solve. Her case to crack. And all she had to do now was wright her wrongs. Haha she said wright.

Damn you brain, making jokes at such a time.

*sniff* "You should go and eat" she said quietly. Somehow she wanted to be weak with him. She DID enjoy being doted on anyway. Plus he always gave her money to cheer her up. Its a win win for her.

"I'm not hungry" came his muffled voice. His mouth was pressed against the side of her head and she felt his lips move with each word.

"You shouldn't let my work go to waste"

That got a reaction. He moved his body backwards a little so he could see her face.

She just blinked at him.

Once.

Twice.

Thri—

"You're not kidding?" he asked looking very doubtful, one brow arched so high it got lost in the hair that fell on his forehead.

She nodded and dropped her hands to show a meek smile and crimson cheeks. She wiped her eyes with the sleeves of her shirt.

She made a move to stand up and found herself pinned against the bed instead. Her startled amethyst orbs stared him down.

His eyes trailed down from her face to her neck then to her slightly open shirt. Which by the way had opened when he pushed her down.

A healthy mound was peeking at him. He could even see the outline of her pink bra. His browns went back to her amethysts.

Bella gulped. She had seen that look one to many times not to know what he was thinking especially now that his orbs were flickering between her eyes and lips.

She tried her best.

...

She really did.

...

But.

...

Her lips.

...

They somehow felt dry.

...

And she did the only thing she could think of.

...

Licking them.

...

Now that she has done it.

She can see that it was a really bad idea.
