Finally we're here. I smile to myself as Kaden parked his Range Rover in our grandparents garage. Everyone decided that it would be best to take one vehicle instead of all four. They singled me out because Kaden doesn't allow me to drive even though I have my drivers license.
I hopped out as I ran around front and onto the porch. As if I was being timed, before I rang the doorbell, Abuela threw the door open and engulfed me in a bear hug. She even managed to lift me off my feet. For a woman in her mid sixties, she sure is strong.
"Abuela." I smiled nonetheless. Maybe it's just the adrenaline. After all it has been three years. She finally put me down and began kissing my cheek repeatedly. Soon my brothers were next in line. She pinched their cheeks and kissed their foreheads. I stepped inside and saw grandfather at the door way waiting for me with a smile.
I ran into his arms as he gave me a hug and kissed my forehead. "It's been a while Cream." If you're wondering if he actually called me cream, then yes. I haven't really questioned his reasons for such a name but what I realized is how his expression softens whenever he uses that name. There were times I'd want him to stop but I couldn't manage to hurt his feelings.
But that's when I was younger. I'm grown now.
He went over to my brothers and did his special handshakes for each of them. Even Kaden. Or maybe that was just a normal handshake. We all sat in the living room where Abuela already had snacks prepared. She caught up with each and every one of us and everything that's been happening lately.
I wonder what my love is up to. I frown at the thought that he's probably between someone else's thigh right now. Oh get a grip. He's not yours. You're just his employee. Bathroom break. I excused myself as I ran upstairs and burst the door open only to end up frozen at the entrance.
Crap. There was someone already using the bathroom. A man stood in front of the mirror completely naked as he dried his hair with a white towel. Towel?! That is not what we're seeing. I looked below his waist as I stared at his package before going back to his eyes. He's saw me look. He had a smug grin on his face while I stood there gaped.
"Take a picture. It'll last longer." He spun around giving me full view on his body, every word laced around that thick spanish accent. Was he sculpted or something? And those abs...only of Ezio fully displayed himself like this then I'd be complete. I squealed internally as I slammed the bathroom door. I could hear his deep chuckle from behind these very doors that separated us.
How was I to face Ezio tomorrow? My dignity?!
I'm trying my hardest to keep my sanity intact.
If only that was Ezio then I'd have no reason to be shy. If you know what I mean. I smiled with content now that I've erased the spanish god from my thoughts. He sure has a good size if I do say so myself. I blush as I mentally scrub my brain. I closed my eyes as I tried to visualize Ezio in an apron completely naked. Just like our dream. Well I attempted to but spanish god infiltrated my mind. And that goddamn accent. Why is it so sexy?Is it because it's almost baritone?
I groan even more frustrated and that's when I misplaced a step and went flying down the tiled stairway and hit my head on one of the many steps. It finally came to a stop when I realized I was surrounded by everyone. It was kind of blurry that my eyes felt even heavier that usual.
I brushed my hand over my forehead and winced when my fingers touched my eyebrow. I guess I'm dying. I tried to open my eyes but it only made my headache worse. I crossed my hands over my chest and closed my eyes but just as I was about to close my eyes-
"Wake up and stop being dramatic." Keith shakes me awake with a serious face. Leave it to him to ruin the mood. I groaned as I sat up with all eyes on me. They really look worried. That's when my headache decided to have other plans and it knocked me down once more. If it wasn't for Kaden's quick reflex then I'd probably bleed from two places.
Ugh.
🤍
"Am I dying yet?" I question weakly as I turned to my grandmother who's trying her best to stop the bleeding. It was a pretty deep cut...or so I heard. Honestly, I'm not sure if I was shot or if I fell. Is this what death feels like? I reach out for the white ceiling that seems really closer than it's actually supposed to. I haven't married Ezio yet. My eyes well with tears I bite back a sob.
I'm dying. I looked over to Kaden as I saw him staring back at me. How many years has it been? He looks really awful. I heard him say something about family doctor. Did he ask for the entire hospital? Will it be a home surgery? Am I okay?
"Spirit lead me where my trust is without border..."I sang lowly as I looked to my grandmother, the fear evident in her eyes. "At least try to mask it like everyone else Abuela."
Well...women are very emotional creatures.
I looked to the other side of the room to see Kentrell and Keith sitting in the couch with panicked yet composed expressions. I wasn't sure if they were afraid that I'd be dying or ok with the fact that I'm dying. I was so confused. Khaled stood behind the couch with his back against the wall with tear stained cheeks. The residue of his tears still evident in his eyes.So men do cry...until now I've never really seen any of my brothers like this. Were they acting strong for me this entire time?
At the entryway stood...spanish god?! My mouth fell open as I sat up staring him dead in the eye. He was in a grey sweatpants and shirtless. Of all the moments he could choose...he chose to be sexy when I'm on my deathbed?! I hit myself repeatedly in the face. He really wants me dead. I can't see it any other way. He's evil. I squint at him as everyone sat up at my sudden action. And I'm the dramatic one?
I stood from the couch getting ready to head outside. Some fresh air would be good. Maybe that was a bad idea. The first step I took, my foot so happened to collide with the foot of the small coffee table. How'd that even get there? I then lost my balance as I winced and tried reaching for my foot. Luckily, spanish god caught me in time.
"It's good to have you fall for me." He whispered only for my hearing as he steadied me. He is trying to kill me. What kind of underhand techniques are you using spanish god? I squint at him as Kaden pulled me from his grip and observed if there was anymore damage.
"I'm fine." I say no louder than a whisper. They released a breath of release as grandfather came in with some food for me to fill my empty stomach. I sat down and ignored all the eyes that were on my every move.
"Let me feed you." Abuela took the fork from me before I could place the rice in my mouth.
"But I'm fi-"
"Nonsense." She shoved the rice in my mouth and then with some chicken. "You lost a few pounds already."
It's only been a few hours. I look to my brothers for some help but they all looked away too nervous to defy Abuela. I sighed as I chewed my meal in silence not wanting to upset her.
Well this is unfair.
🤍
Sounds like a really bad fall to me.
