Chapter 117 - Ikhulu neshumi nesithupha

Melissa was pulled away from the sound and light and brought back to steadiness only to find herself in Riley's arms. The Viking blushed and ducked her head but Riley was too concerned about her to comment on her bashfulness. Before either woman could say or do anything else, there were gunshots the sounded from behind the whiteness. It was a sound without a source. From beyond the lioness, nothing else seemed to exist. At least that was how Melissa was currently experiencing reality. Whether true or not, to Melissa there was no world beyond Riley. But apparently, the princess didn't agree because she immediately tugged the water nymph to her feet and began to run again. The blank void expanded and contracted around the fleeing women as they fled through one corridor to the next. Not that Melissa would know if the corridors were real or not.
