My head felt heavy and muddy β I had to trudge through my own subconscious to reach my eyelids and pry them over. Wow. Who gave the sun permission to be so arrogant? I slowly sat up and held my head and my world pieced itself together Infront of my half-opened eyes.
"Yerri, Nikky, you look like shit, sis," a smooth voice said from somewhere in the overly bright room. I groaned in response, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and clearing my throat. I felt like I had used the side of my throat to sand down cement.
"Here, I thought you might need this," he said. I squinted my eyes at the glass in his hands. I gulped down the greenish liquid and relished in the cooling sensation it brought. Ahh. That's much better.
"Thanks, Sammy," I said smiling up at my brother. His curly hair and deep brown eyes shone back at me in amusement.
