Doc sat at the back of the car, staring at the back of Nikola's skull with intent and a calculated gaze. This was definitely an intriguing development. The old man switched his gaze to the man beside the Orisha. He was focused on the view zipping past the window as he played with a golden medallion around his neck.
He was amused by the tense pair in the second row who would exchange looks past the red-haired man in the middle of them. The looks held unspoken anger as they took turns glaring at the self-proclaimed Queen in the front row. The curly-haired woman had yet to say anything to the five passengers in the SVU. As soon as the drivers arrived, she divided the group between the two vehicles and instructed the drivers not to stop until they reached the halfway mark. There would be one overnight stay and then they'd all be back in the soon-to-be Achebe territory. I wonder if the current King knew about her plan or if she was planning a coup.
