Quaahir sat back on his heels and looked at the water in anticipation. Samuel hadn't budged. He did not look phased one bit by his sister's plunge into the grey depths. If not for the faint smirk resting on his lips, one would think her actions went entirely unnoticed.
Nikola walked toward the dock to peer into the water and its murky depths and tried to inspect what was happened underwater. The Orisha looked around and tried to detect any movement. She could feel something of a wavelike motion under her skin that crawled up her spine and reached the base of her skull.
Out of the corner of her eyes, she caught a slicing motion in the water that caused phantom ripples. A ping went off on the corresponding side of her temple and she continued to look in that direction until the opposite side pinged as well. Her eyes shot to the left bank of the water to see if more ripples could be detected.
