"Where are we, Nikky?" Samuel asked. The Orisha was pale, and her eyes were red but not quite enflamed as she looked up at him. She cast her eyes on a very stern looking Riley who was putting on a brave face. A blind man could see that she was sweating bullets under her iron mask.
"This is the home of the house of San.," she said in a sombre tone that lost its edges in the second sentence. "And that's why we need to turn this SVU around immediately."
"Only we're not going to do that, Nix. We have to come here. I have already set up an audience with the Leader of the San and it is not one that I plan to break. She is very excited to meet you."
Nikola swallowed thickly and then turned toward a Riley with a look that commanded death and all that followed it.
