"Nik, get your ass in here!" Riley growled as she stormed into the room.
"Calm, my love. She'll be up soon, she's probably just tinkering in the workshop again," Melissa laughed and wrapped her arm around her wife from behind. She was slightly nuzzled her head into the crook of the queen's neck and Riley barely held back a purr.
"Why can't she just be like her brother. He never –" Riley was cut off short but a loud bang.
"Ahh!" both women raced downstairs towards the sound of screaming.
Melissa got to the door first, but Riley pushed her behind her back before swinging the door open and rushing inside to assess the damage. The entire room as filled with smoke despite it being the most well-ventilated room in modern architecture.
"Ca va! It's all good. We're all good," came the cocky voice of Nik, followed by a few dry coughs.
