*I am thinking of turning this into a full story eventually. I am finishing off some intense chapter of 'Breathe' coming up but I hope you enjoy this in the meantime.*
I trailed after them down a familiar yet new corridor into a grand room. It was vastly different from the rest of the property I had encountered thus far. Instead of being the expected medieval style, it was styled similar to a Celtic fighting arena.
The crowd of teenagers disbanded and gathered around the borders of the fighting pit. they led me into the dirt-floored pit by a strangers hand on the small of my back. I subtly looked back and noticed an unfamiliar girl standing behind me.
"Don't die. Trust your instincts in there," the girl offered me a daring yet soft smile, whispering into my ear before pushing her roughly into the mouth of the pit. I scurried to my feet as I turned around to glare at the mysterious girl; who in turn gave me a smug smile and winked.
